Annwyn/Annfwyn/Annfyn isn't hell but rather an Other world so to speak (even as a translation meaning things along the line of great deep and abyss,) as it is not a punishing place nor a rewarding place, but a place that is different but similar, a world of magic and many gods (see Mabinogi story of Pwyll) if anything it's closer to heaven (excluding the many wars between magic kings) as the celts had bad lives especially the brythons (due to proximity to anglo-saxons and jutes) they made a story, a story of a better place that will show, when you are in the worst positions you have ever been in i am sorry for the correction but as it represents a major part of welsh culture i had to speak out and even a key part of the athurian legends aswell (i also believe this to be a reason the welsh and cornish kings fought so hard, as if they got into annwyn they could be happy forever)

I ... okay so as a welsh person, the pronunciation section is a bit ... off (it's understandable though, some of the welsh sounds are tricky to convert into English sounds, e.g. ll )

So this may be a two year old comment, but I feel compelled to step in here. The lyrics you're quoting are those to the song Lament by Light of Aiden. That song's melody was used as the basis for the song featured in the ODST trailer, but features different lyrics that were written specifically for the ODST. Both are sung in Welsh, though.
