No kidding, I got it when I was in 2nd grade on accident cause my buddies had halo reach and I wanted it so bad and so asked my dad to take me to GameStop and didn’t know there was multiple halos so I got this one and was terrified

I love ODST aesthetic and atmosphere so much, it’s my favorite Halo campaign. I also absolutely adore the SMG.

38:40 is probably my favorite bit of ambience and music in any video game ever

Ah bungie, you and halo were great together

Dude i remember this game as a kid playing this, i was really scared every time it turns back to night time, searching for your partners at night, detecting their whereabouts, killing dozens of aliens. That feeling had me kept going.

This game is a fine piece of art. What a story telling master piece. The amount of love put into this was felt in all our screens and through all our controllers.

Ironic, the best Halo was the one where the protagonist wasn't even a Spartan, and thats what i like about this game, this shows the true face of the war.

I got the Xbox 360 bundle with this game so it was the only game I played for like a month or 2 until I could buy more games. I grew up playing halo 1 and 2 co-op over my friends house every week and this was the first halo game I owned myself. What a piece of art. The nostalgia is real

One part that I love of the game is when u play mission with ur team, it such a nice feeling to know that u still have a team after playing most of the game solo, u rly feel so lonely at the start of the game...and the eerie music doesn't make it any better😅

That is amazing, I have the same memories with my dad but with Call of Duty. But Halo ODST I extensively played it so immersively, I was Rookie. But yea man such great days. Games will never be the same again.

I love how you when u find items as the rookie you play the events leading up to how the item you found got where you found it

1:55:43 is probably one of my favorite ODST moments, its dark and rainy the city is on fire, you are by yourself and Bits and Pieces is playing in the background, man this game in a masterpiece...

The rookie and noble 6 from reach are a lot alike, I almost mistook the two from being the same person but I realized reach is a prequel (I think)

@@seanfreeman4514 Reach is a prequel to the entire Halo series. Without reach, Halo Ce wouldnt have happened. Halo 3 ODST takes place during Halo 2. Halo odst comes right after you defeat the Scarab in the city in Halo 2, and get on the infinity and chase after the covenant through the slip space

I'm starting to realize one the differences between ODST and the other Halo's. The soundtrack. ODST's soundtrack sounds pretty mysterious or suspenseful. I guess this reflects the Character's attitude towards everything. But on the other Hand. With Chief. You get very melancholy or uplifting or even laid back soundtracks. Like for Chief this shit is a walk in the park. Then Melancholy theme with Chief having to take on something much bigger than he is as one man. I wanted to share this. I think that might be what they were going for with ODST. I'd say they did a good job.

Why does nostalgia hurt?

This is easily my favorite Halo game of all time. I love this one and will remember it till the day I am no more.

Got a great deal of nostalgia when I replayed this game. This was probably the strongest nostalgia I’ve ever had when replaying a video game. I believe it was the atmosphere.

I remember the graphics being so good when I played it

I remember before Halo 2 was out they released a video showing a supposed Halo 2 gameplay where MC is fighting in a city, when the game was finally released many people where upset that the actual Halo 2 game did not have a similar level to one shown on the trailer. ODST was great for creeping about to chilled sounds. Suddenly, fall battal in place. Night time vibe.

Now that was a fucking game. I haven't played it since its release and haven't played Halo since the Didact, but out of all the games, ODST is the one Halo game I seem to find the most memorable.

This is my most favourite halo game. Sure Chief is great. But rookie felt more humane.

49:16 that Oh this Sucks was for real and then the impact haha favorite funny moment from this Gameplay.

This was such a great game damn way to reminisce. The graphics were so Beauitful then. This game defitnally needs a remake or new game entirely

Thanks for the walkthrough! My biggest question is why do the marines walk barefoot? ‘Cause that’s how their footsteps sound like. They deserve boots too, not only the Spartans. :’(

After Halo Combat Evolved in 2001, this is easily the second best game in the franchise. 2 and 3 were great as well, but not as memorable as 1 and ODST.

I actually stumbled upon this game accidentally in the early 2010s. I mean I heard nothing about this game. Probably my 2nd favorite Halo game. It was so relaxing too lol

​@DKG J i know im not OP, but at least to me personally, the distinct atmosphere and story is what really sets it apart for me, on top of the nostalgia playing the first section and firefight with my brother. thats my two-cents at least.

i dont even remeber how many time i plaied this games, but the music, the gameplay, the story is always fantastic, this is because this is my favourite game

That video published ODST Troopers vs. Imperial Death Stormtroopers Squads. When the Narrotor mentions not the ODST from Halo 3, is there a different original variant of the classic Original ODST Trooper with the standard Guy recruit 🤔 with regular vigorous military 🪖 training. Never introduced in the campaign multiplayer game 🎮.

The music as he's walkfing through the halls at 39:30 reminds me of when Robocop was walking through his old home.

I love that this game is basically a Nathan Fillion reunion with former castmembers. specifically Alan Tudyk and Adam Baldwin.

This game introduced me to Halo and i still haven't played any other Halo games because i don't have an Xbox only a ps5, though i am trying to save money for an Xbox series x just to play those exclusives. Had this game for the Xbox 360 and played it and i actually enjoyed it.

My favorite halo! Could never get really into the others but this one felt..darker. Like it was almost a horror game and i loved it. Spent many hours playing this one. Plus that SMG is LEGIT

Even though the face models in halo 3 dont age very well, theyre so animated and full of life (at least in the cutscenes) that it more than makes up for it.

They hurt halo so bad I had to come back a relive the bungie days

Loved how ot was so drastic from playing as chief just mowing them now. Now you gott sneak,hit and run, no 5v1 you wont survive especially when on the higher difficulty

I will be doing infinite, all over Halo games are under the full Game walkthrough section.

Halo 3 ODST is very similar to the November 2004 first person shooter Half Life 2 👍 👌.
