Not for the whole picture but only for areas where the light really falls. - We can smooth the sharp corners of remote objects like mountains. But we also must not blur the whole picture. The original graphics are a rather gray picture. No matter how you twist the gamma / brightness slider. - We can add some natural colors. But that did not look toxic. - We can add an adjustable depth of field. To cutscenes looked prettier. And most importantly, we can hope that finally there will be those who will make ReShade better than an amateur like me. Because so far no one is in a hurry to do it.

At first I thought that you only turned up saturation and contrast but there's a lot more if you look closely.

In my experience MXAO present in Reshade with Vibrance, Colorfullness and Finesharp + SMAA makes every game gorgeous. Halo and Halo 2 included.

Yeah, but unfortunately in my case ReShade does not determine the depth of the frame in Halo2 and MXAO is applied to all elements of the screen.

Halo 2 budget remastered edition actually this looks quite good

I'm not usually a fan of reshades, but GOD DAMN this looks gorgeous, the video doesn't do this justice, in game everything looks so much better. It's very easy to tweak as well, I disabled a few options that made the visuals more blurry and disabled that clarity filter or whatever it was called since I already had the gamma turned off and it would make the image too dark. The end result was spectacular, I've been searching for programs to edit the textures so I can insert a bit of color into them but to no avail, then I stumble across your mod, everything in game is suddenly so much more vivid, the lighting is so much more natural, it's a feast for the eyes. I turn off the reshade from time to time to look at the difference and the vanilla visuals look almost black and white in comparison, I can't go back, this is the first good reshade I've seen. Good job mate!

Alright, for some reason after a while of gameplay the reshade becomes unstable, the game drops fps randomly and then becomes smooth again only to drop fps (sometimes for 10-15 seconds at a time). When the point of instability comes, the fps can sometimes be fixed by alt tabbing but the reshade would randomly flicker the effects on/off. A shame since the vanilla game looks really bad without this on.

Where do I put the file?

Would this messup the lag, becuz i have to turn the quality to low so my pc wont lag

No need to create any folders. Just google how to install ReShade. Then copy those files. Or create your profile!

Xenomorph King The PC version of Halo 2 (which is the version being presented in the video) came out in 2007. But you are correct, Halo 2 for the Xbox did come out in 2004.

This is hilarious compared to the Master Chief Collection Remastered halo 2.....

I clicked on this video with high hopes, but the "geometry of levels" isn't even updated, and all you did was crank saturation and crank up the vibrant of the picture, it's really not much different sadly. Anyways Halo 2 is still a great game, you tried nonetheless. Not saying I'm a professional modder or anything, but why bother with this game if it's "so hard to do so"?
