My family celebrated Halloween growing up. Decorate dress up and trick or treat. I have a 2yo and 6yo. This year we decided to end the tradition of celebrating.

I grew up the same way. The older I got the more I learned about it. Our kids dressed up as Bible characters and went to the Church parking lot to get treats from the trunks of cars of church volunteers.

We used to have a Halloween party every October at our Church when I was a child, and because of that I didn’t think anything was wrong with it and would dress my kids up when they were little and take them Trick-or-Treating. I’m a Grandmother now and regret ever celebrating such a dark custom.

Our church does a Trunk or Treat every year. I thought it was ok too, but it's not ok. We stopped going. The whole Christmas and Easter thing isn't right either. Again, we were led to believe it was okay.

Chuck Missler always made the message fascinating.

This is year 2 of my family not celebrating Halloween. I've explained to my children, in depth, as to why we should not acknowledge or partake in this day. They are 8 & 9, yet they understand and are completely in agreement and do not complain about it at all. People need to get past this notion of their kids feeling "left out". Arm your children with truth, and let them practice what it means to be set apart! Thank you Lord for calling us out and setting us apart! We don't miss anything we've left behind to serve you!!! (Side note.....this username is one I made before I was saved. I just haven't changed it yet).

Well said. It is hard to set oneself apart. But when you know within your heart, you're armed with the full armour, you confess with from your heart and spirit. We can stay strong in the holy spirit. On reflection it is disturbing how easily we were all pulled into this but we now know better

Always an overwhelming amount of information from Chuck. Thank you for continuing to release his teachings. His light continues to shine in a dark and broken world.

I thought I knew just about everything about Halloween but because Chuck is so well-researched, I picked up some additional facts. It's interesting to watch the different opinions Christians have on the topic. My entry into the occult was studying astrology books at the library when I was in 8th grade. I spent my life deep into occult/new age and came to Christ a few years ago. Halloween used to be my favorite holiday but after having the Spirit in me, it only brings me grief. As a parent, I was just honest with my child and explained that I just couldn't do it anymore. (I'm a big nope on our church's Trunk or Treat as well.) I asked my kid what it was he really liked about it. He said it was mostly the candy. So I agreed to have a fun family day the week after Halloween where we watch movies, he gets a ton of candy - including the really junky ones I usually forbid - and it's been working out for the past few years. On Halloween itself, we just ignore it and treat it like any other day.

Yes that can be the case in many times but I do have memories of my own life and I ask God about it all the time and they were not pleasant I was murdered several times and spend time with three of the husbands of today. I have a real difficult time and I do pray on this always continuously but I spent past lives with these husbands. And it is as real as life is to me right now. I pray on it constantly. It could be the devil's trick I don't know. Still I have no answer

@@Misorganic1 please consider getting deliverance. The things you are experiencing are not Biblical sound doctrine and it may be in fact that you are under a great deception. John 8:44 "...He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it." Read the Bible as well. You can check out Daniel Adams Ministry and Isaiah Saldivar they both have deliverance Maps on their websites you can check them out and may get deliverance in your State if you are residing in the US or abroad. I always used to celebrate as a kid. It seems like that was such innocent times. Before we knew the world was so large and before it was so interconnected. I will not celebrate now but going to strangers houses for candy isn’t quite the same with predators, poisoners, and pushers out everywhere.

I remember those Orange, UNICEF boxes in the '60s that my school wanted us to use for Trick-Or-Treating. I wanted *Candy--NOT pennies* --to turn in to school. I kept it all anyway. 🤣

Suggestion for Halloween period: fasting and prayer between specific hours and on the specific dates. I suggest what I have done and I thank God for the effect that I’ve witnessed. As per Bill Schnoeblein, a former Satanist, Samhain also known as Halloween starts September 25 and ends November 2. The late Doc Marquis, also a former Satanist before converting to Christianity, said that Samhain starts earlier than September 25 and as I remember ends November 5. @@pepperjones7559 , Whenever I'm in a bad way, and seeking the Lords help, I always remind myself that the Lord will often wait for events to come to a head before He acts. This way He gets the glory, and our faith in Him is increased. Just the other day, I experienced this type of scenario, and the Lord stepped in. It was wonderful to experience. (If the Lord helps us too soon, we often give the glory to other means.) It gives us peace during difficult times when we know He's on our side, and knows us by name, and the problems we experience.

There are many reasons why Halloween and Christmas shouldn't be observed by Christians. Chuck touched on the reasons behind Halloween with his awesome research and knowledge. I, on the other hand, will give the simplest reasons an unsophisticated person such as myself could give regarding Christmas; the Bible doesn't say that Christ was born during the winter time, let alone specifically on December 25. And of all the things Christ commanded believers/followers to do in remembrance of Him, observing the day of His birth wasn't one of them. Christ's birth, as glorious as it was, wasn't God's crowning achievement of redemption. God's greatest glory regarding redemption shone brightly in Christ's resurrection.

I drove past people celebrating it last night here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 I thought to myself if they only knew what they were celebrating I wonder if they would continue 🤔, I mean surely dressing up in demonic clothes and acting like a demon you would think is a clear sign but it's like the bible says ,their foolish hearts are darkened ,.

I was visited by book Mormon missionaries and went to their temple. They told me they prayed for their dead as if we prayed for ourselves

When I was a young teen, we would do mock seances and play with a Ouija board and do other things that looking back had an occult basis. We thought it was innocent play. It spurred my interest in witchcraft and I started studying the occult. Scary!

Once our family found out about Christmas, Easter and Halloween, we stopped adopting the conventional tradtions and trappings that go along with it. It’s been over 30 years and we don’t miss it at all. We do honor the birth of Jesus but even the time frame of his birth is not in keeping with December, this was instituted by Constantine and they also celebrated the birth of Mithra the sun god which fell on December 25th..unbelievable

This is most interesting.. I've known these truths since the late 1950's, but never heard Chuck preach on this. Very hard to turn Christians away from these holidays.., however we are well into these partys and holidays now in 2022.., and for which God will punish America..!!

It was Halloween like I said and we were 13 yo. My friend lived in a subdivision and I spent almost every night at his house during the summer. So we knew every single house in the subdivision. WhY kind of people they were. Friendly or not. If they had dogs or children. Everything. That night we were walking a couple blocks to a auction were we met these 2 girls earlier and was gonna sneak them out. For some reason i could not get warm. I was bone chilling cold in GA while my friend was in shorts and tank top. Just outside we started down the street and the house that was two doors down had the backyard illuminated in fluorescent blue. A house that was empty for at least two years. We could hear this highly unusual voices coming from the backyard. Loud but quiet if that makes sense. "I thought that house was empty? I asked. It I'd he replied. Suddenly one of the voices got louder than the rest and it said my name. "Matthew". What ? I said to my friend. I heard that man, that wasn't me, he said. I knew it wasn't. We began to focus and listening and it said it again. A while I'm shaking so bad from being cold and now total terror like I've never felt. Couldn't run back to the house fast enough. My dad came and picked me up and I didn't go back in that subdivision for 25 years. Since then I've heard those voices once and it was on a YT video. When I heard it my heart almost skipped a beat. Sure miss Mr Chuck but at least we have his lectures and teachings and Khouse and those who are carrying on the message of Christ/God.
