We always made our costumes out of things we had at home but what I remember most is being invited into people's homes and getting a candied apple the ones with melted red hots on them or a carmel apple or popcorn ball. Things were definitely different in the 60's and 70's when I grew up. I miss those days

The doll baby head in a frame is perfect for a spooky Halloween. I could see this in a haunted house! Great idea to hollow out the pumpkin and place a scene inside! My favorite memory is dressing up as a gypsy in my mother's clothing. I got to use makeup, wear large earrings, and wear her full colorful skirt! We would trick or treat from 6pm-10pm in the 60's.

These all came out amazing and different from everyone else! My dad use to hook a trailer to our Jeep and put hay bails in it and take the neighborhood kids down a long dark road and the other parents would be staged down the road and jump out and scare us, those were the good ole days I tell you, miss them!!!

The wooden cats were so cute! Growing up in the 60s and 70s was a wonderful time. I watched Snoopy every year too, and we usually tried to make something at home or use the cheap hot plastic masks. My mom made homemade popcorn balls! AND she made my birthday cake too because Halloween is my birthday!! 🎃🎃🎂🎈🎁

I grew up in the 70's and 80's and I watched the great pumpkin and Garfields Halloween special every year. I loved the kitty cats as well they are so cute! 😍

My grandma made me my first costume it was an all felt witch even the nose that attached to my ears..it’s a tradition every year I’m a witch for my grandma that’s no longer here

I love Halloween! We still take the kids trick or treatin'.treating. Whoever takes them has to be dressed too. We always did that...1 adult stays home and the other goes with the kids. Costumes are a must!!! My house growing up was always decorated with lights and spooky things. I love your vintage ideas. Happy Halloween

I always had to watch It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, over and over for Halloween. I remember dressing up as Punky Brewster, Gem, and a Care Bear. You always make such beautiful things. Those plastic ties are called Cable Ties. At least here in Illinois and Wisconsin. 😊

Well, me and mama would lay on the couch every year together and watch it! Later I put a Charlie Brown tree in my flower bed in the front yard (it was SO pitiful) but at Christmas , I would put the one ornament on it, and wrap a blanket around it!!!😝mama turned me into a Charlie Brown nut!

We used a jug of liquid starch and dipped the cheesecloth to lay over ghost forms in school. Then stapled the dry ghosts to black paper. Kids and moms loved them!

The good ole days

Hello Kathy, The Baby doll head came out great. WOW!! I don’t like weird things but this really is different. Now I need to find a baby doll. The lanterns are cute. The cats are beautiful. I really love the three of them. Scarecrow is so sweet . Your Grandson will love the Boo sign it’s so adorable. Trick or Treat sign is cute. Crystal ball came out amazing. I love the wreath and the little truck. Please don’t be upset over your videos. I know you put in so much work making and than editing them. I have learned that life has so many different things to throw at you. You need to breath, smile say a prayer and keep going. It’s not often easy and sometimes you need reminding. Right now the world is crazy. Just take it easy and one step at a time. Stress isn’t healthy. Blessings and love Kathy to you and your family. 🌹♥️🙏🙏🙏🙏

I love everyone of them & can’t choose! My Grandmother was a Seamstress & always made us whatever we wanted to be! I loved watching Alf had a talking stuff one. My Mother would take us out Tricker treating in our neighborhood then she drive us to Our Aunt’s house they always wanted to see us.We go up & down her street then we’d go home have so much candy it fill a big garbage bag full ! My Mom would check all the candy just in case. But nothing ever was wrong with it . We all sit watch Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin eat whatever candy we wanted ! My favorite candy was M&M’s! I have used gauze before for cheesecloth to make decor. You couldn’t tell the difference after i coffee stained it. Lol… if i am out of something. I always come up with something to work. Love all of these projects. The doll head looks freaky. If someone loves scary , scary …. This would be the perfect project for them. Those skeletons are super cute! Looks so good in the pumpkin . Your cats 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ turned out amazing! ❤️ your Charlie Brown pumpkins! Just adorable! I think those are called cable ties , or tie straps. We know what you’re talking about though. My mind is slipping. So, I really can’t remember exactly what they are called at the moment. The trick or treat sign is so pretty. Love the globe and hand. I think it is my favorite thus far. Don’t feel bad, crap happens sometimes. Your wreath is beautiful! . Love the boo sign you put on your wreath.

Genius projects. Love them all. I wish they would make those fairy lights with black wires for Halloween. I’m old enough to have been able to have gone trick or treating until I got to be too old (14 YO I was a die hard). I always made my own costumes, even as an adult, and making and developing those ideas are my favorite memories of Halloween.

My grandmother's cousin was a photographer and always wanted to come to where we lived in Arkansas for the fall color, and I wanted a witch mask, but mamma didn't like it, but this grandfather aged cousin convinced her to let me wear a plastic witch mask from the TG&Y for Halloween and ❤❤❤ it just changed everything.

I Love to create Halloween Decor and my favorite memories for Halloween is taking my children trick or treating and then going home to our annal Halloween party!

These are so cute. I loooove Peanuts The Great Pumpkin too. Still do at age 61. Its so nostalgic. My favorite costume memory is being Casper!

@@kraftykathy. I was in south Miami, Kendall, but it WAS EPIC! Every single year it was amazing ! And it's not like where I live now where kids hit a certain age n they're like "I'm too old to trick or treat" NO ONE was too old, EVERYONE went all out. I'll never forget it! Best memories!!!🥰🥰🥰

I loved the Halloween parade at school!

Mom taking us kids to one of the most expensive neighborhoods in our town. She would let us out at one house and slowly drive as we went to the next. I’ll never forget this one house was more like a mansion. They always had the best treats. They had servants, that would answer the door it made you feel so important. They had a lot of prep to do before the big night. They served homemade popcorn balls as big as softballs and all sorts of fancy treats. When my children were young back to the Stanley Street we went. My children said mom did you see what I got from that house? I said I know High went there when I was your age. I explained how the many years went by put the treats or still the same and still is tasty. I’ve enjoyed your videos today as I just happen to run onto you. I will be watching you.

All of these were so good, but my absolute favorite was the doll head cheese cloth in the picture frame. Don't apologize. Things happen, and we just can't help it; what I saw was great! P. S. When I was a child in the 40s and 50s we made our own costumes (witches, sailors, clowns, etc) and just doing that was as exciting as getting candies.

I'm really sorry your had such a hard time with this video, but I really enjoyed the DIYs. Your voice is very fun to listen to.
