I have to say I liked this trilogy. The most successful one yet. It was all about trauma and it began by exploring how it affected Laurie and her family which reflects in how Laurie defines herself with it and Allyson is caught in the middle of it.
Halloween (2018) - awesome Halloween kills (2021) - very nice Halloween ends (2022) - what the fck was that shit

Halloween Kills is still the best movie, however I'm still waiting for Jamie Lee Curtis and Melissa McBride from the Walking Dead to play sisters in an horror or a Syfy like movie.

I find this version of Laurie less believable than the one from H20, who still had hang-ups but was a functional human being who had mostly moved on - and physically moved as well ! She and Michael are not even related in this universe; why does she live in a bunker in fear of a stranger who's been locked up for 40 years? This movie adheres too closely to a current conception of trauma where your past defines your existence. She didn't go through a genocide.

I personally can't blame Laurie for raising her daughter the way she did. Laurie was all but helpless during her encounter with Michael in 1978. Yes, she fought back but it was Loomis who ultimately saved her. Laurie wanted to make sure her daughter could protect herself no matter what. Not just against Michael but anyone who may have tried to hurt her. Was Laurie obsessive? Yes. Was she wrong? No.

Yeah right. No amount of trauma justifies the way she raised her daughter, like a child soldier. I say Laurie's a crazy bitch. It was only a one time thing.

What is the point of this? The movie is from 2018 and Halloween isn’t for another half a year.
I can’t leave the October of 2018 behind like most people. It was the year I started to like horror or Halloween in general because of this movie. It started at spirit Halloween I was scared at first of the props but started to love them. Especially Michael. I went to spirit a couple times in 2018 but i spent the most time in my last time: day before Halloween. Had a lot of fun. Unfortunately mom didn’t let me watch the movie bc she didn’t realize I wasn’t scared of em anymore. I was 9. Now I’m 13 turning 14 man I wish I could travel back in time. To see the props again. I used to have a crush on the double trouble props when i was 10 idk why. Lol
