Young Concert Band - Grade 3
Written by Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen back in the '80s, this powerful song has reached almost legendary status with its frequent usage in TV and movies. Recorded by such diverse artists as Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi and Justin Timberlake, it was also used in the first Shrek movie and most recently during the 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Vancouver. Here is a terrific setting for band by Michael Brown.

The brass section did a really good job of answering the upper woodwinds at measure 29. The brass also did a nice job of keeping the sound balanced.

@@ninakuttner9705 no, they’re really not. The point of an ensemble is so everyone can be heard. It’s not called trumpets. It’s called band. Trumpets at forte means no one is ever heard.

Lol When my band played this my band director only used half of each section, except for the trumpets- they were all cut.
This musical is so beautiful and talented. The melody is so top notch . I would love to play this over and over again 😁😁 .
i played this song this past year for my 8th grade pops concert, i was bass clarinet and absolutely loved the song, especially since i had a cool little melody at measure 16. (it can be just barely heard in this video)
we play halleluja in our youth orchestra and it sounds even better if you can hear it from real musicians, because you can really feal the emotions they and we feel...😍 beautiful song

Me and my friend play the alto part for this and we always messed up the counting but finally we got it down this year😂😂😂
The marching band arrangement sounds more appealing

Well I’ve heard there was a sneaky gent Who yearned to be in Smash Ultimate, Then learned he wouldn’t be able to WAAA. Who made the cut? The nerd, the prude, the never-was, the always-nude, The ones who’d never utter “WALLELUJAH.” Wallelujah, Wallelujah… Assist Trophy Waluigi. But baby, I’ve been here before. You opted for the pterosaur, Some squid thing showed up and the fans said “BOOYAH!” I said “An Echo would be fine” But you said, “Too bad! Daisy time!” It’s a cold and it’s a broken Wallelujah! Wallelujah, Wallelujah… Wallelujah, Waluigi. Now maybe I’d be way too strong, I’d top the tier lists all day long, But even so, who the heck asked for Pichu!? WAAA. Why won’t you let me make my case to Punch some mascots in the face? Ahh, go “assist” yourself! Bah! Wallelujah! Wallelujah, Wallelujah Wallelujah. Waluigi... “Waaa. Whatever. Waluigi will go destroy everyone in Mario Tennis Aces instead.”
