Gotta point it out….. THIS is a prime example of all-around representation. If the human cast for this role was White, media outlets of color like this would NOT be part of this press tour. Because Halle is Black, ALL media gets shine as she gets hers. It’s a full-circle, all-inclusive thing that we’ve never seen quite like this and it’s SO incredibly beautiful to see.

For someone who spent half the movie not talking....she did a phenomenal job conveying strong emotions with facial expressions!!!!!! She was great in this movie!!!

I'm seeing it today with my 4 year old daughter. She loves the little mermaid animation. We are watching the live action in 4DX! I've never been excited over a movie before. There are some films you wait till it's on streaming apps but this is those movies you go and see in 😢 cinema 📽️. This is your time Halle

Wow- she even looks like a little Janet Jackson in this interview. The Little Mermaid was beautiful and she lead that film. I believe that she really is a mermaid. Her actions throughout the film were honest adventurous.

This movie is officially the best fan rated live action Disney film of all time with 118 million dollar opening weekend. DESPITE the fact that people are purposely trying to bomb the film. It received a 95 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. For that very reason, I encourage everyone interested to go see this film, once, twice and even three times. Let's support Halle, our newest, beautiful, Disney princess (who just happens to be black)

they were caught faking and lying about reviews and so was imdb for this movie. Even looking past review bombs and the fact ariel isnt black it was mediocre at best. They completely butchered the original story in so many ways. Only thing that was somewhat decent was the singing. and yes I actually did go see it because my niece wanted to watch it and it was horrible to sit through. If you cant see that this movie was definitely not a 95% then I feel sorry for you. Movie wasnt complete garbage but it definitely wasnt a 95% unless we are talking on a 1000% scale.

I honestly believe it would have been the highest grossing live action disney film based off the hype and domestic box office. Right now it's not doing great but that's mainly because of China who didn't embrace a black Ariel. If you take race out of the equation it would have done numbers in Asian markets and globally for certain. Unfortunately people will focus on box office and not impact at this stage but the global box office is biased

Poor Halle looks exhausted (but still beautiful). She talked about being so jetlagged from the press run so hopefully she gets some well deserved rest and relaxation.❤

Just finished watching the movie and it’s one excruciating moment that leaves you wondering why you are back to reality!!! A truly magical cinematic excellence that triggers all sorts of emotions with fantastic visuals, music and an incredibly talented cast!!!!Halle chews up every scene with immense enigmatic aura that is rare in Film. Undoubtedly best Disney movie!!!

I’ve already seen the movie twice since Wednesday and I just wanna go back every time right after I watch it. Such a beautiful and fun movie! It’s been so long since I felt this way about a Disney movie or a movie in general. Everyone did their thing but Halle is such a STAR and deserves this moment

She is beautiful!! Loved the movie, will be going to watch it again. It’s early days but I’m hoping for a sequel. So many doors will open for her after TLM, the colour purple and her solo album! Happy for her

Just saw it and Halle was unbelievable! You could tell the cast had great chemistry and they were proud to work on little mermaid. Any criticisms feel pretty small compared to the overall beautiful tone of the movie.

Saw the movie yesterday. SHE DID THAT!!!🌹🌹🌹 Absolutely beautiful! She was breathtakingly gorgeous.

I took my nine-year-old granddaughter, and her Little Mermaid Doll to see The Little Mermaid Movie yesterday! Such an Amazing movie to enjoy, and to share beautiful memories with my granddaughter! And I still can't believe a couple of times I had a crying spell! Halle Bailey is Absolutely Beautiful, with an Amazing Loving Spirit. What an enjoyable movie!

Omg Halle talking about the dolls now makes me so happy. There was a video of Chloe seeing the dolls too and trying not to cry and sharing the same story!!! Its so sweet

but my thing is, when she went into the audition she was the first one there. and they said she set the bar immediately, shit she even made them cry. not by what she looked like, or her ethnicity. It was her voice, compassion and personality. there was no discrimination.
