Half Right Is All Wrong | Loren Larson | 2024 JSM Camp Meeting

HALF RIGHT IS ALL WRONG- By giving our hearts to Christ for salvation, we start right, but all too often somewhere along the way, we go wrong. Today at Family Worship Center, Resurrection Camp meeting 2024, morning services began with Pastor Loren Larson reading Galatians 4:28-31, teaching on how we are to live this Christian life in victory. Just as we begin, with Christ being our source and the Cross the means, we must maintain our walk the same. Salvation gives us all we need for life and living. Our own works and willpower will not maintain an acceptable walk; we are His workmanship, and the Holy Spirit will work on our behalf to change us into the image of Christ when we keep our faith anchored in Him alone. Just as Abraham had to cast out the bondwoman and her son, for they represented self-efforts of scheming by Abraham and Sarah in an effort to bring about God’s promise. We must cast out all our efforts of flesh. If we don’t cast out everything but the Cross, we will end up all wrong. Believing in the Cross alone brings proper works, and fruit in our lives that are pleasing to God.

If Yeshua (Jesus) said to follow the Commandments to enter life Matt19: 17, and Paul tells you merely to believe and not do as He says. Where is the "half right"? Paul also told half truths when quoting Scripture to propogate doctrine. Would that not constitute half wrongs?

I watch SBN a lot. Some preachers like to get 'Amens' by force. Just let the people respond naturally. But I agree that brother Loren is a good teacher/preacher.

Ps Loren has a close Second and Third on his heels- Joseph and Grace. God has greatly blessed them with such a special anointing to Preach/Teach and Lead Worship. Grace and Joseph usher in the Presence of Holy Spirit, because of the anointing, and their songs are always Christ Focused, and always giving Glory to God. God honours this. He sees their hearts towards Him. ❤

Brother Loren, could you explain what you mean "set free from the sin nature"? Do you mean Christians do not have a sinful nature?

But, sir. Paul said withbthe mind I serve the law of God, and when he was in the peril of the flesh, for its works are deceitful, he said that is when he served the law of sin, which is something he did not want to do. So in the context of the flesh, we have to believe in being co-suffers with Christ by faith. It us not a pleasant experience. The discourse of the conversation is how to keep our old man dead on the cross with christ.

Greetings SBN!!! Why don't you invite cross-eyed preachers like Curtis Hutchinson or Wayne voss Clint bass? Paul was a cross-eyed preacher determined to nothing but christ and him crucified because only and I mean only the preaching of the cross is the power of God!!!! Am I your enemy because I tell you the truth? I love you all at family worship center ❤️ 💙 💕 💗 brother Ronnie Lopez.

The double standard though of your sermon Pastor Larson with which your theme is: if you get it only half right, you'll get it all wrong, is that you guys at FWC also have a boatload of requirements and doctrines that you weigh down your members with. Let's just be honest about this (novel idea that Christians would do that) but all Churches and Denominations including FWC and your College and the whole 9 yards, place commandments upon their members in addition to their profession of faith in Christ. Sounds like you are berating those who "drag people under the law" but yet you tell your baptized "Christian" members that they must adhere to Nine of the Ten commandments. The only one of the 10 that you say they are not required to keep is the Sabbath commandment (the 4th of the 10, btw). Odd thing is the Sabbath commandment (please read it in Exodus Ch. 20:8-11) is the ONLY one of the 10 commandments that says to..."REMEMBER it", yet 99.9% of all of Christendom today completely forgets and ignores it. Go figure.
