I imagine people would find it quite odd, since no other game at the time had this type of tactical weapon style. Most people would find it bad just because it would be different tbh, although some people, like journalists and blog writers would find it amazing.

The animations themselves would be very impressive. Upon closer inspection, however, the animations would not make sense, considering that Gordon Freeman is a theoretical astrophysicist, not a trained soldier (unlike Adrian Shepard). Even the animations on Barney would be a little bit of a stretch, as he was trained as a guard for the civilian sector. Cool and tactic, but it would be out of place once the context and setting was understood.

@@Miigs93I think most people would be intrigued, and like the journalists and blog writers, would discuss about it a lot, it might even take precedent over the game itself “Dude, you have to check out this game, the developers were on some crack or black magic drugs when they made the animations, I can’t explain it, you have to see for yourself”

I like that you can see that the AR-15 (don’t know which specific military model this one is) has a quad stack magazine, which explains the high capacity of 50 rounds. However it ejects pistol ammo casings and not rifle ammo (5.56) casings. Which is a bit annoying

The m16, the m4, CAR-15 (which this gun is (if i read correctly a) version of) and so on are all part of the AR-15 platform. If i had known the specific name i would have written it. Im not an expert just an enthusiast with an internet connection who hasn’t even touched a gun. Yet…

@@Pacman009 the platform/operating system predates the military models. Those are just specific versions of the AR-15 with a military designation/name.

Cmon guys this Is a good work and its made to modernise. Also makes sense tò have such Sharp movements for Opposing force ,given that Adrian Is a 23 yo special forces that survived black mesa fighting against black ops ,advanced headcrab zombies ,xen and race x all by his hand

Of course, a regular magazine will not hold 50 rounds (except for other compatible ones), but 30.

I actually like more than half of these models, great work! I've never liked the beretta but you somehow made it likable!

IMO - combination of modern mocap-like animation and 90s era models is an underrated idea for online shooters.

If I could change anything, I would try and make the shells line up a bit better with the ejection ports on the pistols, and have the shells come out when you pump the shotguns as opposed to when you fire them.

imagine if these animations were used when the game released lmao

this has shown me something very interesting, it doesn't matter how bad the models are as long as the animations are good, this explains a big component of why stylized games are as popular as they are.

These are actually really dope & still feel iconic & representative, in line with universe to the OG weapons. Just swap gun sounds & other sound files around if you dont like any of the sounds. Source & goldsrc mods are cool in the sense you can just swap out other improved or even OG sound files.
