Released in November 1998, Half-Life used a heavily modified Quake engine to create a very immersive 3D FPS experience. Gordon Freeman heads to work at the Black Mesa research facility for what should be a normal day, but an experiment goes horribly wrong and a portal to another world opens. Source: speeddemosarchive.com/HalfLife...
At this past Awesome Games Done Quick, $1,025,000 was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. It only took a week of continuous streaming, 18,000 donors, and many many runners to achieve. A big thanks to everyone responsible for these amazing numbers, what a humbling achievement. For comparison, last year's event raised just under $500,000.

This is the game that i will not forget for my entire life, the best childhood memory! When me and my brother 1st time had this game on our pc, and that time we don't even have internet to search for guidance, we used hours & hours to think and tried to solve in game puzzle (this is the feeling of achievement I can't find now).

Elk Kapaska wow you love this game A LOT! LOL I really do love half-life as well, I actually remember it being one of the first game I had ever played on PC... It was 15 years ago maybe, in Syria (before we had to leave it because of Butcher Al-Assad & the war) :'( ... I would spend 5 hours a day on that game at that time LOL. Also as you've said Half-Life 2 was a great game, not much less than the original... I recommend you to try Black Mesa for nostalgia and good graphics at the same time; as it's a Remastered version of Half-Life 1.
