That's what I loved about all those L.A. Noire VR no commentary videos. The game is so much more hilarious when you see the protag do something funny and just give an "OK" symbol with their hand or make finger guns. Silent comedy is a lost art.

If you store a magazine with 6 bullets left into your backpack, you should have 6 more bullets added to your magic ammo pool. Hopefully they can update the game or someone can mod it to be like that.

@@Themataus100 Jesus, was video even _on_ the internet back then? Took minutes just to load a JPEG of some titties. GIF was a thing, but things like MPEG and MP3 were brand new and not popular at all. Also, wiki wasn't launched until 2001 so you'd probably get more info like that from an Encarta CD.

The neat thing is, as a viewer, we are essentially acting as Russel if we consider the footage we're seeing as being his live feed. Now keep that in mind of what Russel's thinking when Alyx is taking her time searching bins and portable toilets etc, you know, as her father is headed to his death.

I love how HL:A has an interactive environment that makes the game feel more alive Like how Russell gets pissed when he was disturbed And how the markers can actually draw It's more interactive than other VR games

You're right in that the suppression field doesn't affect animals, it actually only affects humans by not allowing certain proteins to form during pregnancy or some other alien science plot magic™. However most complex species are dead thanks to leeches and antlions out competing and killing everything. Hooray for introduced species

Even with no commentaries, I can still tell his emotions by hand gestures and actions he does like when he drops the thing onto the cat from the start. He was like "Oh my god I'm so sorry"

This is the most wholesome VR Vid I've ever seen. Never change. It's a dystopia that makes Oceania from 1984 look like a paradise and yet here you are sticking buckets on your head and throwing things at animals.

I would love to watch part 2 and 3 but I want to keep it secret so I can finally have a fresh half life experience with no spoilers...

Man, I like how Valve actually put enough effort this VR game like the previous games they've made, since it is so legitimately good.

Just a little tip: If you reload in this game before the mag is empty, you don't get your bullets back, they're gone forever (unless you pick them up that is)

Hmm, at the beginning of this video: A Valve logo appears with the echoes of the “Open your Mind” Guy. It’s kinda scary to me since we loved Half-Life Alyx.

Excellent playthrough, great editing cuts, STABLE head tracking, entertaining as hell.

Dead zombie bodies with half their body off the ledge Harry: Let me help you with that!

I’m very happy you’re playing this! I had yet to find a proper playthrough in which people don’t talk too damn much, in where they focus enough on the story and keep moving on but also take enough time to show the environment. And you’re giving JUST that! I think your videos will be the best way for me to get the most accurate experience for the game, which I likely won’t get to play myself! So thanks very much. (One tiny tiny request tho, you cut out a small parts every now and then for the pace, but I would honestly like it more without any cuts whatsoever. Makes the video generally flow better)

How much we talking to play this game at a good level of FPS? I have no idea about VR costs these days.. or what setups are best... D:

Buy a Samsung Odyssey plus. And for the PC, any machine with a 1660 ti or a 1060 or better can play this on medium settings. And, believe me, it looks amazing on every setting. But this is the best way to get quality visuals and keeping the price down with an easy learning curve. I will be making many videos about budget vr, in the coming weeks. Google "budget VR" and you'll find similar answers but I suggest the "Adam Savage tested Alyx" video to really get a sense of how everything compares. They did a fantastic job comparing them all. Also, I have an index.. and yes.. it's awesome. And don't buy a valve cosmos. For the love of God, don't do it.
