This method is just a masterpiece. I started to learn to give myself a selfcut about 3 month ago and every method that I tried just take a lot of time and was very messy with all the lines that needs to be blended. Tried it today for the first time as the 4th cut I have ever done and it came decent and only took about half an hour. Great video.

It actually surprises me that faded culture is so positive about this end result since detailing is key in faded culture’s cutting methods. There’s a lot of detailing left to be done in this haircut. Personally I also use the half guards attacking system (the faded culture system), but they use the #1 guard to clean up between the .5 and 1.5. I’m not here to be nice, I’m here to be real with ya’ll

@@ferryabdoel9972 I appreciate the honesty, I own up to the fact that this wasn’t my best work. I just wanted to get a video out to newer barber that are struggling to find a system that works for them. I’m the farthest thing from a distinguish barber, I’m still a young pup in the game, but I also know that if I had seem this system when I first picked up clippers, I would that much farther ahead now. Like I said though, I appreciate the honesty and feedback. It’s why I say at the end of every video, like it if you do, dislike it if you don’t, bc I want to know what people really think.

I also don’t really put a high bald line if I’m doing a high fade I use my 0.5 to determine how high I go. I also use my 0.5 before the trimmer line.

Nice cut as usual. He definitely went through a major transformation. I like that you keep the hard part as a fine line because it looks good that way for that texture of hair in my opinion. Also, now that we've already seen how his hair texture and color reacts to being cut down, I'd suggest leaving more length of bulk to finesse/cover some of the lighter spots especially on his box area on the left side where there's a blondish patch. He definitely has spiky hair similar to mine Lol. I have dark brown hair but if I cut it down low my scalp shows through a lot so I keep a slicked-back gentleman's cut these days. When I was in high school i did skin fades with a 2 or 3 on top.

My honest opinion, very good haircut overal. Just 1 little thing, if you look at the back the left side was a bit off but i also blame his hair 😅😂 sometimes nothing you can do about that. I cut my own hair and that for me is also a spot that alway was weird. Its allready hard to cut your own hair but my fade game is on point, mostly because i look at vids like yours and other barbers so thanks for that. Now i leave it a bit longer so it blends more with the back and i dont fade to high anymore.

I think that it works better using taper blade (Babyliss) or not?? The steps was the same: Debulk #3closed. Then Baldline. Then no guard open taper. Then #1,5 halfway. Then #0,5 halfway. Am i right?? I’ve only used the Supra ZR1 and the Octane. The octane is lighter, cuts a little slower, but does cut smooth. Also, I haven’t gotten to use the ZR2, so I’m not sure how much difference between 1 and 2
