Sang this to my childhood cat as she passed away in my arms. Years later I was finally ready to get another cat. She has been the best little Angel I could dream of. She’s five months old, has big golden eyes, loved to cuddle and climb my legs to stand on my shoulders. I am now playing this as she slowly loses her hold on life in my lap after being diagnosed with terminal illness a week ago. I told myself I’d never love a cat as much as my first one, but I really just couldn’t help but to fall in love with miss Daisy.

My mom passed away when I was 12. I used to listen to her Elvis Presley records with her and this was one of my favorite songs growing up. Hearing this cover makes me cry.....in a good way. I miss you Mom. 💟

The love of my life and I are 65 and were first loves at ages 18-20 until I (stupidly) broke his heart. We reunited ten years ago at age 55. He's Canadian and I'm from Brooklyn, NY but we always spent 70% of our time together until the pandemic hit and our countries' borders closed and kept us apart. We were heartbroken. Four months of hell and by a little known loophole he was able to fly to me a few weeks ago. The NYC City Clerk's marriage bureau is closed because of the pandemic but we were able to get a videoconference interview and a marriage certificate. We just had our zoom wedding on my porch and at our request my adult children sang a gorgeous rendition of this song for our ceremony. This song is our story and WE LOVE IT. Thanks for listening!

We were high above the city on the 83rd floor, on my left were floor to ceiling glass windows, directly in front of me was the same with a huge arrangement burning candles. It was a clear beautiful day. As I looked out from my seat I could see the curviture of the earth. Men we were dressed in black ties and the women in full length gowns, as we sat waiting for the Bride and groom to come down the isle this song 🎵 began filling up the entire room. You could feel the passion and meaning come over you like a cool mist on a warm day. This song was stored in my long term memory along with that beautiful day.🙌🏽🙂

My rescue kitten passed away today. It was only 3 days old but it felt like I've known it my entire life. I loved holding it's little paw so the line "Take my hand" hits deep.

Easy now. Haley has a very good voice but putting her next to Elvis would mean she’s better than Aretha, better than Mary J Blige, Whitney, Mariah, Christina Aguilera... and that’s still a stretch at the beginning of her career.

There's a girl in my life who I've known for 4 years now. We never dated, but I swear we've spent almost every day together. I know it's a bit late into our friendship, but I hope she sees in me at least half of what I see in her because I'm finally going to take a shot and ask her on a real date. Wish me luck. **EDIT** since I have been getting messages almost daily, she said yes and we had an awesome time and I'm glad I did it before the pandemic. We still talk daily and have occasional dates. She lives across the state border right now, about 3 hours away, in Illinois, and I live in Michigan so it's usually a plan for the day kind of thing, but she's likely going to be moving back to town with her job within the year, fingers crossed so I'll get to bother her all the time person.

this was my dad favorite song. We used to play this on repeat while driving, and he would sing along to it. He sometimes jokingly singing the song and I would get annoyed with it. But now that's what I miss the most. I miss him so much. I love you Dad. I'm happy to know that you're in heaven now.

It's strange, this wasn't our first dance song. But my beautiful wife walked down the aisle to this song and now it has so much significance to me. More than any other song that was played on our wedding day. Beautiful version.

Met a woman I was stationed with in Okinawa, Japan. Proposed 3 months after leaving. Spent a year apart. Had a proxy marriage to be together. Now planning the wedding of this woman's dreams on the day of our 10th anniversary and this will be the song we dance to....just call me a fool rushing in because I'll love this woman till the world stops turning

Apart from Elvis’s original - and the philharmonic orchestra version with his vocals which makes me just ascend - this is the absolute best rendition of this song I’ve ever heard. And one of the best covers generally of an Elvis song I’ve come across. It’s beautiful :)

Now this is a song that makes you remember the warmth of Love❤

We broke up and this song reminded her of me and this song always will hold a special place in my heart

This song was sang by my ex (just happened) and I made her a walking stick with music notes to this song. Now I'm in tears. Remember that nothing is forever. Love with all your heart, yourself the most, and follow your lover with an open heart, knowing no one is perfect.

I am 30 and still single but know that I want the love of my life walking down the aisle to this. I will probably cry uncontrollably when, if ever, it happens.

First dance as husband and wife for my brother and SIL. How I cried!
