I have both the d3crm and spiritus. If you want to use it as a chest rig, go for spiritus for its modularity. I like it because i can swap out different parts easily if i want to transition from ar setup to a sp5 subgun setup. If you want a placard, i would recommend just skip the whole micro rig thing and go straight to bigger rigs. I run d3crx on my plate carrier. Since im already wearing a plate carrier I might as well have more room to store stuff. Great content as always. Keep up the good work. Semper paratus

I’ve been following your channel for a while now. Ended up seeing everything I needed in stock at the same time and pulling the trigger on the Micro Fight. I’m surprised at how easy it is to re-index mags with the elastic inserts, though I still prefer the Kywis. At least my JPC isn’t bare. Keep it up! I love what you’re doing here.

Greatest presentation

Great video. Your vids helped me decide on the RDR as a PC rig w/ the Kywis and the Haley Micro as a stand-alone chest rig with Kywis. Couldn’t be happier with either. SS is just too off-putting with the limited stock and the need to wait for multiple drops to get what you want. I get it for modularity but I prefer the one shot deal RDR and Haley provide.

Does the Haley chest rig harness work with the RDR placard? I already have RSP's placard and also want to use it as a chest rig but RSP doesn't sell their harness separate from what I'm seeing, and HSP does so thinking of just getting that harness instead of having to buy the whole MCP rig just for the harness when I already have the placard. Thanks!

Price just increased on the HSP D3CRM. No it could cost more than the Spiritus Systems Micro Fight depending on configuration. I was waiting for HSP to restock ranger green but I am now looking at RDR and Spiritus again. I dont want to regret having a less modular system if I could use the options down the road. I am leaning to the rdr since I can come in at a lower cost ans still turn it into a chest rig. Thanks for the video.

Just found the channel recently…the info has been helpful. Thanks for doing what you’re doing. Now that you’ve had all 3 for over a year do you find yourself gravitating to one more than the others? It’s I tough decision and now that there are in-stock options for all 3 of them even tougher.

For most of what I've been doing recently, it's been the D3CRM, mostly for the front pouch. I can use it for holding the cables, phone, and various admin things I need to support the comms testing and stuff that I'm doing. That could change, but that's what I've used the most.

Thanks for making this video, Joel! Excellent comparisons. I was just about to pull the trigger on a Micro Fight but now you've got me considering the D3CRM. Out of curiosity based on your personal preference and requirements which one of these rigs do you run?

Glad it was helpful! I currently run the Spiritus, since it was the first kit I bought that started this whole series rolling. However, for my requirements, once budgets (and stock) allow, I will probably switch to a black D3CRM.

Yeah I like how the D3CRM is set up which would save time in configuring it. Problem is ranger green is never in stock and only place I can find a ranger green D3CRM is on ebay for 250 to 300$! Yeah, no thanks. I might just get RDR or Spiritus. And Spiritus is frequently out of stock as well.

My problem with the spirtus is its one open pocket, regardless if you put a flap on oneside. The rdr, is separated. I like the haley the best.

Yeah, that's why I had 8492 make the pocket divider. Little bit more security when combined with the flap.

How did you buy the Haley placard by itself? I can’t see that option on the website

I didn't. I purchased the placard with the included X-harness.

Hey Joel, great reviews. Would you recommend the D3CRM now that it's gone up to $175? I'm leaning towards the RDR Gear MSP.

It depends on what you want to use it for. Remember that the MSP doesn't come with straps, so you'll have to buy a harness. Now, if you're planning on going placard only and don't need the straps, it'll save you $50 to go with the MSP. It seems like prices in general are trending up, so the Haley may end up being on par (pricewise) with the other rigs. But it will still probably be harder to get your hands on because of stock...

I think for the sake of future modularity, maybe the MSP is better. But I can buy something right now from Haley that just works. But then I have to worry about all the inserts, etc.

@@cbbbbbbbbbbbb I'm not gonna lie, figuring out where to put your money to make the most of it in the gear world is hard. I think the MSP will probably give you the most modularity, and you can get inserts shipped with.

The spiritus will actually fit up to 4- ar10 mags or ai mags if you utilize 2-7.62 magazine inserts-one in each kangaroo pouch. Just FYI. I also have buddies who run AKs and can fit 3 ak mags in the triple 556 mag inserts. It’s tight, but possible.

Good point on running front and back pouches on the Spiritus. I'll keep the 5.56 idea in mind. I'm honestly a little surprised that works, as they seem a little tight even in 7.62 inserts, but if they've got them working, that's a win.

@@guntoter_official I don’t run x39, but I know he managed to make it work. He might be running polymer mags exclusively, but I believe that spiritus has said publicly it WILL work, just not ideally which is why they don’t advertise it as a multi caliber solution.

Damnet Joel. Does the D3CRM or RDR definitively fit 3x AK mags/AR10/scar mags or not? :D

My Haley is currently out of hand, but I can confirm that the RDR will fit three 7.62 KYWIs with the One-Wrap modification. As soon as my Haley gets back, I'll test it as well.

Brock we have yet to get 3 7.62 or 308 mags. We are working on a MSP XL. That would get you fixed up. Jeff.

Will the triple Haley mag inert fit on the Spiritus chest rig?? I might order them instead of the Spiritus elastic ones

I haven't had a chance to use the triple insert in the Spiritus. The interior of the main pouch of the Spiritus is about .75" smaller (in width) than the Haley, so it could be a bit tight trying to fit it in there.

I prefer Spirtius because I use it as my raw steel chest rig but also use it as my paintball chest rig by adding WhiskeyTwoFour inserts for my Tiberius.

I can only speak for Spiritus. They never have everything in stock at the same time for the same color. That may be a deal breaker for some.

Truth, regarding the Spiritus. However, HSP never has the D3CRM in stock either..ever. Lol. In all honesty I've been seriously looking at all three of these rigs (leaning towards the Haley) for over a year now. Made up my mind on a Spiritus LV119 Overt and the Haley Micro as my choice. The lack of consistent restock notifications coupled with the speed at which they sell out turned my hunt into an obsession. I'm relieved to have FINALLY scored both products on the latest Black Friday sale, and they are otw after months of anguish and disappointment. I'm tempted, however, to flip them both on Ebay for an exorbitant sum, and buy my own private island with the spoils in hopes of coercing the native population living there to sew chest rigs and carriers, with which I will entice the world inhabitants into giving me all of their cash and power..one sleepless night and one piece of sanity at a time.

Hey! Is it possible (and even practical) to use the kywi on the haley rig and msp rig as you did on spiritus? I am a huge fan of this combination, and aldo of SS micro chest rig, but as they hardly have any stock on many products(SS) im thinking on the other rigs as well

You can definitely use the KYWIs on the other rigs. I've tested them in both, and they work. I actually used the KYWIs in the MSP for my last rifle qualification at work.

Rdr sell this as a whole rig for around 170 with harness

They sell a similar rig, but last time I checked the back strap was different. It was a 1.5" backstrap instead of a 1". They may have changed it, but if they haven't, for it to be compatible with other chest rig accessories, the backstrap would need to be 1".
