Good effort in spreading Financial literacy among Deen Conscious Muslims. Indulgence in Interest is one of the root causes of plight of Muslim community. Hope they understand it early. There is one more option for purchasing MF, specially suitable for people who want to purchase MF units only (no Shares etc.) The HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have facility to get opened Investment Services Account (ISA) within Savings Bank accounts. I checked it many years back, no other bank had that facity. The MF can be purchased and sold directly from there. The benefit is that cash and units are changed seamlessly within 2 working days, and all MF units are at one place with cost of purchase and present value in a tabular form. I shall recommend this to beginners.

One of the best videos I have come across on Halal investing. It cleared my doubts regarding how to select MFs. Now since we have the limitation of only 3 Sharia-compliant MFs, we can actually check other similar MFs and check their company holdings. If their holdings are all in non-prohibited companies, we should be good to invest in that.

Bhai, Tata ethical is shariah compliant but I don't know about other funds. Please double check.
