আল্লাহ তাআলা একনিষ্ঠ একত্ববাদের আলোকে জীবন পরিচালনার জন্য অন্যতম সহায়ক হলো হজ। সুতরাং হজ পরবর্তী জীবন হবে তাওহিদ নির্ভর। হজ পরবর্তী এমন কোনো কাজই করা যাবে যেখানে তাঁর সঙ্গে অংশীদারিত্বের ন্যূনতম সম্পর্ক রয়েছে। আল্লাহ বলেন, ‘আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসুলের পক্ষ থেকে মহান হজের দিনে মানুষের প্রতি (বিশেষ) বার্তা হলো, আল্লাহর সঙ্গে শিরককারীদের কোনো সম্পর্ক নেই এবং তাঁর রাসুলের সঙ্গেও নেই।’ (সুরা তাওবা : আয়াত ৩)। হজের পর গোনাহমুক্ত জীবন-যাপনই হলো হজ কবুল হওয়ার লক্ষণ। হজের পর হজ পালনকারীদের উচিত আল্লাহর বিধি-বিধান পালনের প্রতি যথাযথ গুরুত্বারোপ করা। মনীষীগণ বলেছেন, হজ পরবর্তী জীবনে হজ পালনকারী তাঁর ভালো কাজের ধারাবাহিকতা বজায় রাখে। পাপের কাজ থেকে দূরে থাকে।হজ পরবর্তী সময়ে সমাজে ভালো কাজের অংশগ্রহণ বাড়ানো। অন্যায় প্রতিহত করতে বিশ্বনবির পন্থায় অবিরাম চেষ্টা সাধনা চালিয়ে যাওয়া। নিজে যেমন অন্যায় কাজ থেকে বিরত থাকবে তেমনি অন্যকেও অন্যায় থেকে হিফাজত করতে সচেষ্ট থাকা। আর হজ পালনকারীরা আল্লাহর মেহমান।
