হজ ইসলামের পঞ্চম স্তম্ভের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্তম্ভ। এটি একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ইবাদত। হজপালনের মাধ্যমে মানুষ সদ্যভূমিষ্ঠ নবজাতক শিশুর মতো নিষ্পাপ হয়ে যায়। তাই হজের জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হলো মানসিক, আর্থিক ও শারীরিক প্রস্তুতি।
