I'm growing my hair to have this type of haircut. I have wavy hair as well and this is a nice choice.

Mike 👏🏻 this is my texture hair and I cut my own hair because it grows so quick. I cut the style in my profile picture but I do go to a hair dresser now and again to get it cut professionally but over all I do it myself and being waved and thick with texture I can get away with any imperfections lol. Also products help to creat the shape you’re trying to achieve. I love the way you cut this style working with the natural wave and letting ‘it’ dictate where it needs thinning. Cutting hair wet with wavy curly hair is not going to give the end result you would get cutting just slightly damp. My problem is the back of my hair is so thick and one side grows up while the other grows down so I have to compensate for that when cutting. I just wish I could take my head off to do the back and ‘finesse’ and feather it out grading up. It’s all about angles and trying to get the angle on yourself is rather tricky. I’ve grown out a pixie cut so now it’s top heavy. I want to keep the back shorter at nape like the cut you did and keep some length at the front and frame my face to keep it soft and give the appearance of longer length. Absolutely LOVE the tools you use but too expensive. Having thick hair thinning it is crucial but a fine line from thinning to cutting. What you used is wonderful. Well, I’m going to give it a go today because it’s better than looking the way I do right now 🤣 Wish me luck 🤞🏻💇🏻‍♀️…… I did it! 😃 not exactly as you but best I could using your principals sectioning off having it forward onto my face choppy and textured with a longer length tapered shorter to nape of neck. Let’s say if no one knew they would assume a hairdresser had done it and that’s good enough for me 👍🏻 I’m going on a cruise for my 60th this year so want a style that won’t look like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards once I’ve been on deck! 🛳 Thank you once again Mike for giving the confidence to do this 🌟
