💈 Haircut & Ear Hair Singeing With The Brazilian Barber of Seville | La Navaja Barbershop
In 2021, we made it back to Spain to do some filming! 🇪🇸
We had the pleasure of meeting and filming a haircut with Jardel da Silva who opened La Navaja Barbershop in the bohemian arts district of Seville in 2016. Jardel first learned from his barber father as a teenager in Brazil. At the time, he was determined not to follow in his father’s footsteps as a barber since he wanted to pursue his own path.
However, years later after having spent time living and working as a chef in the UK and Spain, Jardel ultimately decided to pick up the scissors professionally.
The interior of La Navaja Barbershop has an eclectic display of collectibles acquired while shopping locally at vintage and antique markets. You’ll also find customized prints of classic art with their own twist 👩🏻🎨 Jardel says, “Every week or every month I try to put something new out on display.”
Jardel says a haircut may take 25-40 minutes for a customer, but for him it is the best time as he meets so many people who he now considers great friends💈❤️

Me ha sorprendido gratamente ver un vídeo en una barbería de mi país,y aun que soy de Bilbao ,bajo todos los veranos por el sur,así que en julio o agosto me pasaré sin falta para un relajante afeitado y corte de pelo, saludos!
I’m still amazed that no one has given Haircut Harry a bright pink Mohawk, when told “cut it any way you want”. But jokes aside, I imagine this is a great platform for barbers to show off their skills and levels of service.

I can only remember the video from when Harry was in India (4 yrs ago) and the barber gave him a really different style. That was a fun one wouldn't mind see more of those.

Holy ASMR…the crispness of the shears, the soft sound of the thinning shears, the occasional car driving by and birds chirping, the clock ticking. I could watch and listen to this on repeat (if not for falling into deep sleep). Oh, and great haircut!

This barber and his shop takes you back to the 1800s! Even his outfit. He's a very attentive barber who evens flicks off the itchy hair as he goes. Most would never do that. Love that special touch. Harry I bet every barber you meet loves you! You're so easy going and you're not demanding. Not only do you have an awesome head of hair, you allow them to do their thing while you kick back and chill. *Gotta love Harry!!!* Have a good week.

It is great to see Harry visiting my country and I truly wish it's not the last time. Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla are just the tip of the iceberg; there are plenty of places to visit: towns like Toledo, Gijón, San Sebastián, León, Córdoba or Santiago de Compostela and villages like Liérganes, Toro, Almagro, Luarca, Albarracín, the White Villages of Cádiz or Vielha. And all of them have beautiful barbershops run by talented professionals. Everytime I see one of those barbershops I think "Man, Harry would enjoy this like nobody's business".
