Hair Wars: The internet's new competitors (Cècred versus Fenty Hair)

Ойын-сауық

In this #deepdive I explore the long standing comparisons between Beyoncé and Rihanna which have now transcended their musical careers and Is a subject that has come up since the launch of their hair care brands #cecred and #fentyhair. I analyze their aesthetics, and how that impacts their brand awareness, and I also look at the marketing strategies that they used to go on retention for their brands.
Tiktok also had their fair share of opinions.

Great breakdown. Unbiased and straight to the point. I personally prefer Fenty. Like you said, they built a rapport, trust and loyalty with the public. We see Rihanna promoting, talking, connecting with fans, everything. I believe Beyonce feels her name and the loyalty of her "hive" will carry the weight and do all the work for her. Personally, I find her completely disconnected, unrealistic and slightly delusional.

@@babygirlt8938 Any celebrity that feels their name alone will sell anything, without any engagement, interview, etc to me is delusion. That's why most of the other brands you mentioned, failed. You mentioned SavageX but it's still around selling. And the fashion house for Fenty didn't last due to the pandemic. I felt if it was released prior, it would have still been going strong. In my opinion

I think that a lot of times people project what they think Beyoncé feels. Her own mother said, that Beyoncé wanted the products to speak for themselves and not have her the face of the product. Which is different approach than rihanna. Rihanna is the face Beyoncé isn’t. That’s why cecred only has testimony from users on their social media pages. That’s why Beyoncé has specialist and hairstylist like her mother posting about the benefits of the product. So again I have to say, because you feel a certain way about Beyoncé you are projecting those feelings onto the product because the products are actually good.

From the reviews it seems the Cecred products has more kick than Fenty. I'm not sure why as a new mom Rihanna isn't selling Toddler/Kids clothes. Shes would come out better rather than selling wigs. Parents spend 100's if not thousands of dollars on their kids in one trip. She should be making clothes that are artsy and versatile. Like picture a oversized puffer jacket that fits your 4-5 year old and as they grow out of it you can detach the sleeves to make it a vest so they have it for next fall since kids grow so fast or Jeans that can be turned into shorts. Pieces that can transform so you get different looks and wears out of them even if it is expensive. She already has her children to model for her and her niece.

I don’t think she wants to go into fashion, even with kids clothes because she tried that in the past with her fenty fashion house and it failed. I think fenty hair is a natural progression from makeup to skincare to now haircare

@@babygirlt8938 also, Fenty Hair is under the umbrella of Fenty Beauty (just like Fenty Skin) which is a 50/50 ownership between Rihanna and LVMH, with LVMH's company Kendo heading all of the product development :)

@@babygirlt8938 I tried both products and Beyoncé‘s was better, her deep conditioner works like no other, that’s what matters the most because it keeps its soft through the whole week it’s been great reviews on it… I actually don’t care who makes the product the product better be worth my buck, What you’re not understanding is Beyoncé and Rihanna have the funds and connects when it comes to finding out amazing hair remedies that the average person might not know, … there are talks that we don’t know about ,them being celebrities can fly all around the world to find the best ingredients, not just basic ingredients, I don’t get personal about hair brands because they’re not getting personal with you, It’s about the project at the end of the day
