Remember guys for anyone who might feel insecure about this, having hair on your face is normal!! And very typical for humans to have EVEN IF YOU'RE A WOMAN!! Women naturally do have hair that grows on our upper lip and on our chin although typically it's wayy less apparent than men. No judgement to anyone who does shave their face but just for any pre teen or teenage girls who might not know if it's normal or not!! It is definitely naturally occurring as a human being to have hair alll over our bodies

I shave my face in the summer because I have dense peach fuzz, and I sweat a LOT from my forehead, nape and hairline and neck. If I don't shave the sweat just clings to my fuzz and causes my face and especially my chin and the sides of my face massive irritation and breakouts. I don't bother in the winter because I don't sweat nearly as much except for when I work out. For me, it's nothing to do with makeup application and more about preventing my skin from freaking out.

For those wondering, a lot of ppl who wear makeup dermaplane because the hair causes the makeup to look cakey.

These beauty standards are going way too far. That peach fuzz is there for a reason. Shaving creates small tears in the skin, making this sensitive skin more susceptible to infections.

dermaplaning isn’t new… it helps reveal smoother skin which makes it easier for products to penetrate into your skin. fixing dull looking skin and can help uneven skin tone. it’s non-invasive for a reason (unless someone has rosacea, acne, eczema, psoriasis etc). always patch test first tho. yeah, peach fuzz is there for a reason but sometimes people have excess (and darker) hair due to health conditions (ex: pcos) or genetics. it helps regulate body temperature and protect skin from uv radiation/pollutants but for the most part, it’s not necessary considering it’s not enough to actually protect your skin from uv rays and if you’re not washing your face correctly, those pollutants gets trapped in your pores and cause much more problems. this is why most dermatologists recommend dermaplaning (but it should be done by a professional or using an oil/aloe vera bc dry shaving is not good for the skin). a product like that spray is a waste of money. it should only be done by a dermatologist but if you’re going to shave your face, it should be done correctly (clean razor, clean skin, proper techniques, use an oil or aloe vera, and wash your skin after). it’s not necessary to shave but if someone wants to shave their face, it’s perfectly okay and acceptable. a lot of people just want their makeup to be less cakey lmao

I was just telling my mom yesterday how girls are expected to do so much because a few girls do it and set the bar high for the rest of us. Shaving your entire body, skincare, haircare, body skin care, make up, grooming eyebrows and hair, doing your hair, jewelry like earrings and necklaces, manicure, pedicure, etc.. it never ends!!!

For those that dont know, the benefits of shaving your face are (according to google, so dont hold me on this) absorption of skincare products, removes dead skin cells, revealing a brighter complection, and application of makeup appears smoother on the skin.

Firstly, those hairs are your bodies first line of defense against bacteria, among other things, and on top of that if you need a powder to be able to see the hairs, then no one else is going to see them anyways, so there is absolutely no point in shaving them off.

But for us who don’t have acne and just want smooth skin that can allow makeup to be better than applied then we can do this.

Shaving your face can give you acne or unclear skin cause the hair on our face is here to protect it. But if you wanna remove dead skincells you can just put on a body scrub (some are made for faces) Or if you are insecure about your hair on your face you can shave a tiny winie bit but don't to much♡

Shaving my facial hair actually helps prevent acne because the hairs trap sweat and sebum, so removing them is beneficial. It also helps my skincare work better, so double bonus.

For everyone who says her hairs gonna grow back thicker, that’s been DEBUNKED before the 2000s. Hair looks different coming back in but the color, density, or speed of the growth doesn’t change. Just like how it’s been proven your nails and hair don’t grow when your dead, we all need to collectively do research and not spread misinformation just because we’ve heard it all our lives.

You aren’t “ hairy” you’re normal. Thats Vellus hair, and it’s normal to have. That powder has a static charge and clings to every little hair in bushy little spikes making tiny essentially invisible hairs look thicker and more noticeable than they actually are.

Be careful shaving your face while dry! I use cleansing oil to shave cause my skin is sensitive and it’s easier that way. Don’t forget to hydrate your skin afterwards

I’m a girl and always dreamed of growing a beard, so when my mom told me about hair growing thicker and darker after shaving, I excitedly went to shave 😭😂 Been shaving for a few years as a teen, now I’m 26, never grown a beard, my peach fuzz is exactly as it used to be.
