    found out mine was at a 7 💀🥺 I’m getting there with my hair, it was REALLY bad. But in a month I’m actually seeing less scalp, and my bf even commented it’s looking better and he doesn’t notice anything I do appearance wise unless it’s majorly obvious so I’m hopeful. I’m really glad I’m seeing some more positive improvement. I have faith by next year I’ll be at a healthy level, I will update.

    I thought my level was fine it went from 70 to staying around 50 for past few years, not sure what it is now but feel anaemic. I lost hair from being anaemic a while back and struggling to get it back. If you Google ferritin level to grow hair I just did this today, a site said the guidelines is the minimum for your body to work, for hair growth some people suggest at least 70. That is not just growing hair, but hair regrowth. I feel like if you don't feel good you might need less or more of minerals than what is suggested, I was told that by someone and it makes sense we're all different. 😉

    I had the same issues she had. I started taking not iron supplements but 4 grams of spirulina a day and it definitely helped with my iron levels. About your menstrual cycle, the best advice I can give you is to only use 100% organic cotton pads. My period were super long (7 to 8 days), extremely abundant and painful... after switching to 100% organic cotton pads, my cycle has adjusted and changed. After about two years of use, my cycle is now about 3 to 4 days long, reaaaaally not as painful and not heavy at all anymore. My hair is starting to grow back and it’s the healthiest it’s ever been! I keep taking spirulina daily because it’s super healthy for the body. I also take organic stinging nettle to help my body get read of nasty metals and substances that my body has absorbed throughout the years

    I hope this helps! By the way, I’m a flexitarian: I eat mostly vegan and vegetarian and I eat meat maybe about once a month. I eat a lot of lentils for they are rich in iron (muuuch more than spinach). And most of the food I buy is organic. All of this contributed to my health

    Just had to start taking iron supplements a few days ago. Was diagnosed as iron deficient with a ferritin level of 6. Iron level really low too. Can’t remember the number though. I was wondering why my hair was falling out and my nails were so brittle and splitting and dry. Even my cuticles are dry and splitting. What other symptoms can anemia cause? I’m just learning about it. I do get pounding heart beat occasionally and restless legs too. Anything else going to happen to me? This is scary since I’ve never been anemic before. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

    Yes I understand that. When I oil my hair, it does tend to fall out more. I think this is due to massaging the scalp. That loosens the hair follicles that will be falling out soon anyway. But when I had extreme hair loss I didn’t oil my hair as often as I do now, because of that reason. Good luck :)

  • @Ayverie4

    If you haven't solved this yet, do check the thyroid - but in my case, I'm pretty sure my "lump in the throat" is Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD)! It can mimic asthma when exercising, due to narrowed airway, and my voice does get tired fairly easily. I can't sing as I used to. But I've had this for about 10 years before figuring it out! (Doctors are useless! 🙄)

  • @Ayverie4

    @Ayverie4

    I also have hiatal hernia which causes difficulty with diaphragmatic breathing, and chronic belching in my case. Basically my body is constantly pumping air into my stomach, and I think the VCD is a response to that constant belching. I acquired all these symptoms at the same time, at age 19 in a time of stress on my body. But I had to diagnose all this junk myself.

    I do not see any reason why it would not work on men, however it is fairly uncommon for men to have iron deficiency. I would make sure to change your diet to include iron rich foods and talk to your doctor about the best course of action for medication. I do not know your situation, but daily head massages and rosemary essential oil can help grow back hair from genetic balding that most men have.

  • @CarolynRosefolksnaturalliving

    @CarolynRosefolksnaturalliving

    A lot used to fall out in the shower when my iron levels were so low. I would have to unclog the drain every 2 weeks or sooner. Now I hardly ever have to unclog the drain and have very minimal hair fall in the shower and out. However, I do notice that if I have my hair tied up all day, the hair fall in the shower will be greater but is not something to worry about. Hope this helps :)

    isn't it dangerous to get that amount of iron in one serving? unless it's plant based I guess... o. o

  • @CarolynRosefolksnaturalliving

    @CarolynRosefolksnaturalliving

    5 жыл бұрын

    Hey Kena! This medicine was prescribed to me by my doctor. I was under the supervision of my my doctor the entire time I was on these supplements and regularly went in for check ups and blood tests. I was severely anemic due to iron deficiency, and if I was not going to take these pills then I would have had to undergone blood transfusions. So yes, taking this much iron can be extremely dangerous if you are not in need of it and not under the care of a doctor. But in my extreme case, it was necessary. Since I had such good luck with it, I wanted to share this medicine with you guys to suggest to your doctor, in case other medicines/methods have failed.
