I’m in my late 40’s and I’ve stopped worrying about what people think of me. (Not 100% but more like 75%) I’ve learned so much how to be grateful for who I am, for my family, for my job ( legally blind & still working-so stoked about that 😉). I really enjoyed this video! You are very easy to watch & listen to. Plus I love the editing on this video, it cracks me up 😆

I realize this is an older video but I think it's great that you appreciate your natural hair because you have a great head of it! I know a few people that wear extensions, and I think in both cases it's ruined their hair but they keep using them as I don't think they want to or don't know how to break away from them if that makes sense. Good video.

Thank you for this 😢 I also put a lot of my self-worth and having longer hair. My extensions were starting to hurt I was using clip ins, that I got after my hair got cut too short. It has been almost 6 months and my hair has grown a lot. I don’t get why I still feel so insecure for not having hair super long. I am washing and putting the extensions away after watching your video. I’m not gonna wear them until my friends wedding in late May. I feel like I stopped the madness just in the nick of time. Thank you for giving me my life back! And I think you are absolutely gorgeous just the way you are.

I'm sorry you went through this. You are a pretty lady. A lot of women can't pull off short hair, but you can. At least you learned something from this. We shouldn't need fake hair or fake nails to make us feel beautiful, but sadly it's the world we live in.

I’ve been using easi hair pro tape ins for three years and go to a professional. It’s an expense I justify. My hair always has had volume on top and thinner at the bottom. Hair extensions haven’t changed my actual hair. What impacts my hair the most is diet, stress and vitamin D levels. Also covid was bad. I’ve actually improved my ferritin levels and my hair has finally grown. I’ve only had 2-3 extensions rip out of my head during accidental scenarios.

Thanks for sharing your story. I started using hair extension about four months ago. It was great at first. Then it had typed to hurt my scalp and so I’ve decided to take them out because I don’t want traction alopecia. Now I’m going on a hair journey to recover from heat damage and hair extension damage.

Hi Rachel! So agree with you about self love. It’s ALL about who you are & not what you look like. As long as a person is healthy, self acceptance of all our flaws and positive aspects is what will take us to the next level. Life is a journey of living, learning & loving. You do a fabulous job of opening your heart to share and inspire others to consider changes that will take them higher. 👏👏👏Bravo! PS. Your hair looks gorgeous!!

I’m really nervous to take my extensions out .. I have sewn in ones. My last appointment to get them reinstalled I was just going to leave them out but I couldn’t stand looking at myself without them.. so I put them back in. I’ll have them for another 6 weeks but after that they’ll stay out. My hair is so brittle and thin. My hairdresser says that it only feels that way because I’m not used to having no extensions but I tried putting it in a bun and I have the smallest little ponytail, I wouldn’t even consider it a bun. I used to have a full head with long hair and now I’ll have to cut it shorter than it was a year ago. I looked at photos of myself from 1-3 years ago and it just makes me sad. I don’t know how to get my hair back. I definitely took my natural hair for granted

I cannot imagine how you felt throughout all of this. I was sick late in 2019 and in early 2020, more than half my hair fell out. I believe from the trauma. My hair grows fast and is usually very long so it was almost "who I was" even though I wasn't super attached to it. Once it was gone, it was very very traumatic as dumb as it sounds. Girl let me tell you, THIS hair, is THE hair for you. Your jaw line, your neck, it looks so full, healthy and amazing. Your loss will grow back and it will be even fuller. Love your content and you ❤❤❤

Rachel, thank you for sharing your journey, I’ve literally had the worst 2 weeks of my life and some how I thought taking out my hair extensions that I had in for 2 years was appropriate to do while I was coping with a lot of emotional distress. When I took them out earlier today I felt an immediate feeling of hopelessness. I’m literally bald and have been crying since I’ve taken them out for about 6 hrs now. I have my haircut appt on Thursday and I really hope my haircut will turn out as great as yours. My only prayer is that my hair grows back. 😢

This was me, i loved, loved my extensions, but once i removed them my hair was soooo much thinner and just damaged. I did feel more beautiful with the long hair and instantly frumpy once i removed them. It is true, that long hair, being thin etc does not change the person you are. We need to realize that we are all beautiful in the body we are given. (easier said than done) I love you hair in the video! FYI i now have some clip in hair extensions for those days i want fuller hair and love those (but constantyly worrry that others can see them)

I've been doing tape ins at home for 2 years now and my hair is still just as full as it's always been. I think the reason that so many people experience thinning is because of the way that hairstylists go crazy with the scissors when they go to blend your real hair into the extensions to make the extensions look more "seamless". The blending that they do actually cuts off and thins so much of your real hair from the bottom while leaving your hair really thick at the top. I do mine at home so I have control over how much of my actual hair is being cut

  • @ikramamrouche4578

This is actually really true! Your hair sheds everyday so it’s normal’ when they remove the extensions to see a lot of hair coming off with them because the hair that shedd off when you are wearing them gets trapped in the glue! But yes hairstylist do cut a lot of your hair to blend it with your real hair!

This recently happened to me. I'm Licensed hair stylist. I had put in tape in extensions myself, and not did not maintain them properly, it ended up getting matted at my roots so when I took the hair extensions out my entire head was one huge knot. I ended up getting it untangled at a salon and they ended up having to cut a lot of my hair off. The whole experience for me was traumatic. This video definitely makes me feel better ❤ thank you

You and I are so much alike!!! Wow!! You instantly inspired me!! You reached out to me!!! I wear halo extensions! No clips, no glue!! Notta thing!!! But the problem with them is I feel because I have very fine hair as well, they don’t look right! Most extensions are like Indian hair, very thick, course hair! I wished my hair was that beautiful but it’s not! I have a wavy curly hair pattern and it’s very fine like I said. Another thing with halo extensions is like all extensions they still drive me crazy. They itch and it drives me crazy, and when you want to pull your hair in a ponytail, it’s very intimidating because you have this gob of whatever sitting bunched up closes to where your ponytail is secure but the halo extension rides up and it’s annoying. It’s just so much easier and better to feel your hands running through your hair! I feel the same way though. I’m always concerned and concentrating on what and how long my hair should look because of tv, celebrities etc, your right!! Does it matter what guys or anyone thinks about your hair. I mean am I supposed to look like this or that to have someone special in my life. I have a beautiful heart and mindset. I’m caring, compassionate, strong and help others. Just like you beautiful lady!! I hope you get this and thank you for your video I came across today of you!! You have a new subscriber here!!!!!!❤

Why did I do this EXACT same thing?! 😭 currently trying to grow my hair. I have a third of the hair that she has in this video post tape-ins. It’s so hard not to run out and get new extensions! A different method of course but I know there will still be significant damage. I have clip ins that I try to use only twice a week and I am really focused on hair health. My hair is so thin and uneven that a cut would not make it better. Unless I had a pixie and I CANT. Love your bob!!! It definitely suits you! Maybe I will cut it in a year or two when it evens out enough for a shoulder bob

I used to legit have hair like Merida from Brave (my natural hair is v thick, big, curly and ginger) but after I wanted tape in and the c chape (or whatever they're called) extensions, my hair got rlly messed up. It was thin, ripped out a LOT of my hair, and I regret it sm. My hair finally got almost past my boobs for the first time since I was 14 (22 now), I had half black, half silver/white hair and I would wear clip in extensions. After a month or two, since my hair was so damaged and brittle on the silver/white side, the whole back section of that half broke to my shoulders and I was DEVASTATED. I had to cut my hair all back to my shoulders and I'm so upset. It legit takes YEARS to even grow 2 or 3 inches bc my hair grows rlly slow. I regret wearing my extensions so much, I should've never done it. Yes, my confidence was OUT THE ROOF, just like you said. It felt like a legit high wearing them. I finally got my hair back to a ginger rlly close to my natural red and I'm gonna leave her be. I still wear clip ins but I try to be as gentle as possible with my clip ins now.

Hi. Well in beauty school in 1989 a girl corn rowed my hair and super glued wefts on the rows. She said that was how you did the hair extensions and she did it a lot and very experienced. Well it’s 2022 and my hair is fianlly awesome it literally took more than 30 years to get my scalp back from the glue damage etc. i still have nightmares my hair is coming out etc it’s crazy. I did make a halo hair for when it’s really windy on the beach I can throw that on and do a side braid to protect my hair but I got done breakage as well on the top when I take it out my hair gets tangled on the wire. No more the clips and tape ins no good for me either the clips hurt , just what I’ve done to get my hair to grow fast and thick I take a dht blocker hair vitamin 3 a day and I also use bondi boost scalp spray and I take brewed coffee and spray it daily and don’t wash it out, it makes your hair really thick too, just a few tips. Your lucky your hair looks great! It looks really thick too!! And yes. I love how they look too!!

My hair gal always told me that so much hair comes out bc you don't do the normal "shedding" because the hair is stuck in the extension sandwich and you don't wash it as much! I think I just wanted to believe that😅 But I def think there are better ways to care for your hair with extensions!

No actually your hair gal is right! Humans shed about 100 to 200 hair a day but when you put hair extensions the shedding get stuck in the glue so when you remove them it’s normal to have a lot of hair fall! But here I think this girl just didn’t take the proper care and didn’t buy the best hair type for her hair! No shade but it’s very important to let a professional remove them and to not do it by yourself (which she didn’t do) I have been using hair extensions for 4 years now and I do remove them every three month and put them back 2 weeks after but my hair haven’t been damaged because I always buy the best hair and let the pro put them in and remove them! ❤

Tape extension are known to cause damage because once you remove the glue ,it can pull out the hair .Best to use sew in or micro beads and make sure they don't use to much hair on hair.Make sure your stylist knows about hair extensions

Yeah, 40 pieces is too much for fine hair. I just had mine done for the first time and she put in 18, they were too heavy for my hair which is thin fine hair. I had them in for 2 days and took them out myself with the remover. I could feel my natural hair ripping all throughout the day. I should have had half sandwich because my hair is baby fine and could not handle the weight. 16" and 18" my natural hair is around 16". I appreciate my hair and regret wasting money for 2 days of longer thicker hair. Minixidol and semaine vitamins are my hair support system to still achieve some more hair. I have faith.

It sounds like the HAIR was the issue, and likely the hair company sold you bunk bundles. It needs to be CUTICLE hair- strands are actually formed like a Christmas tree, with sheaths of keratin. PREMIUM quality hair companies collect the hair for their wefts in a way that ensures the cuticles ALLL run the same direction which avoids tangling and matting. When a cheap hair company buys bulk hair and colours it …. And the cuticles are all running in different directions from strand to strand…… it’s going to tangle matt and knot immediately…… immediately. BUY CUTICLE HAIR. It’s more expensive but …..

Hi-Well watching you I was thinking... you have a beautiful face and hair -enjoyed your thoughts...I thought-Wow-Molly you need to start wearing some MAKEUP!!!.. You must never of had bad skin, but it took a long time for me to just get a really clear face and people complement my skin but my main way of keeping good skin has been not putting anything on except well. I only this year started putting some sunscreen but I really research the heck out of it so as much as I would love to know how to do make up the way you do with all the brushes and everything I'm wondering did you ever have trouble with your skin?... I'd love to know the brushes you use in the eye make up and I'm impressed with the fact that you teach ballroom dancing I wish you were nearby so I could take it you must be in LA cause when you mentioned the flight I'm from the Brentwood area last time I remember flies being around was I lived in LA? I live in Haverford Pennsylvania now and I don't really see flies around here the way I didn't LA maybe it's the weather.:) anyway, you're right it's always good to get some perspective as you said there's no one in my life that I would love better because they had better hair better anything to do with their parents? It's how you feel when you're with them I will say at the same time somewhere there's a balance, because I do know when I a certain amount of oh taking care of your healthy your skin and your make up and your hair does give you confidence but I think it's gone overboard I mean I was commenting to some youngsters I saw and I said oh my gosh you girls have such beautiful hair and oh my goodness look at those lashes and all of them laughed and said MOLLY it's her extensions and lash extensions I was completely shocked here are 20-year-old girls who are beautiful as they are it's one thing when you get older do you wanna kind of improve your look that you see fading but at 20 it's just sad it's tragic I even look back at myself and realize how beautiful I was at that age just as I was and I see that in all of them but what's the point if you are so busy being self-conscious, but there's nowhere around us with a daily input of as you said thinking about what you care about another people and what makes you feel good and what makes other people feel good and it's that person it's the beauty of that person so keep up the good work I enjoyed the time I spent with you today

What a great video! You sure haven't aged. I thought this was current, then I saw it was 2 years ago! In the long run, I don't really think anything fake is good for you - yet we all do it. Wait until you hit 60, you'll 100% not care what people think of you or how you look compared to them. 😁

Okay, here is the truth. If you don't take care of your extensions, yes it can ruin your hair. However, if you are good and take care of it, NO it will not ruin your hair. I know a few with very thin hair and they were fine after years. Beaded extensions are less damaging than tape-in ones, and highly recommended.
