Hey, thanks so much for the upload. Sadly, I haven't danced in years for various reasons, but I think I finally found a partner again! I have a question. The reason I fell in love with shag was, oddly enough, because of the basic step. I've noticed in competition the basic takes a big backseat. Do you find casual dances implement more of the basic as compared to competition? Thanks again, I love your channel, you've helped me learn so much.

Thank you! …regarding the Shag basic, I think it depends on the context and the dancers. Some contests will have more basics, some social dances will have more.
