Hi Ellie this was a lovely abbey in a stunning location. Interesting to hear of the punishments of the monks because of their drinking and inviting ladies back 😃So much fascinating history and I loved the location. The church over the road was beautiful inside and out too. Loved the music and nice that you got to meet up with the guys 😃👍~ Anna

Hi Anna, hope you're well. It is a beautiful location. Those naughty monks! 🤭 The report I found about them singing out of key was from an inspection visit by an official from another monastery. He noted them singing out of key. I've seen many reports similar on other places that we've been, so I think they were being cheeky and doing it deliberately 😆 I think that even with their rules and restrictions, they maintained a sense of humour 🤣 Thanks for watching. I love history. I'm glad you find my ramblings on interesting. I wanted to do something different with the channel intros! I liked the boots poem too 🤣. So glad you enjoyed it.
