How ironic Jia could dish it out but couldn't take it. She had no problem constantly disrespecting Ruyi, and talking down on the rest of the harem. Yet when they responded in kind she got upset? Smh, just wow. She got when she designed for Ruyi, Hailan, Chun and she couldn't take it. She thought it unjust that she be punished for her misdeeds despite the number of chances she was given to correct course. IMO she should've been dealt with harshly alot sooner.

She also appears to be loyal to her clan, Gingiya in what is now Korea. Her desires to align her son with the former Empress would have give great power to her clan and possibly allow a line of legitimacy of her son to become Emperor. Don't know, just speculating.

​@@rebeccastotts9288This is exactly right. She constantly talks about the king of her clan to Yongcheng, telling him that he has everything he has today because of his blessings. She only really wanted to put Yongcheng on the throne because he will be more sympathetic towards Korea

Jia is the perfect example of a “Toxic narcissist” She constantly hurts and belittles everyone around her. She will do ANYTHING to be number one. She’ll do anything to make sure her and her son remain in a position of power, even if that means murdering innocent children. She’s constantly disrespectful, condescending and cruel. But the minute the tables turn and she’s forced to be held accountable for her actions, she can’t take it. She instantly tries to justify her actions and/or tries to blame others for the things she’s done. I’m happy that she got what was coming to her

there was another camera shot of the same scene, but the camera was placed directly in the center opposite the central door she endured worse in the scene where 8th prince Yongxuan's newly broken leg was being treated by the imperial physicians, the scene after Xin Zhilei rushes and goes inside she actually slipped and fell to the floor, which explains why there wasn't additional closeup scenes of Jin Yuyan fussing over the crying Yongxuan

The actress’s hand was crushed by the doors by accident but she did it very well and endured the pain until the director stopped the scene.
