Ingredients for making Hyderabadi Dum Chicken Biryani Recipe
Marination for Chicken Biryani
Chicken - 1 Kg
Yogurt - 200 gms
Ginger,Garlic and Green Chilli Paste - 2 tbsp
Mint and Coriander Leaves - a few
Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
Juice of - 2 Lemon
Salt - 1 tsp
Kasuri Methi - 1 tsp
Fried Onions - 1/2 Cup
Shahi Biryani masala - 1 tsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli - 1 tbsp
Kewra Essence - 4 Drops
Brown Onion - 1/2 Cup

Whole Spices for Chicken Biryani
Black Pepper - 5
Cloves - 3
Green Cardamom - 2
Cumin - 1 tsp
Star Anise - 1
Mace/Javitri - 1/4
Bay Leaf - 2

While Cooking Chicken add 3 tbsp Oil and 1/2 Cup water
.
Chicken Biryani Rice Preparation
Water - 2 Litre
Whole Spices - same as marination
Green Chilli - 3
Lemon - leftover while marination
Salt - 2 Tsp
Kewra Essence - 3 Drops
Onion Oil / Desi Ghee - 1 Tbsp
Basmarti Rice - 1 Cup
(Wash and leave Basmati Rice in water for at least 15 - 30 mins)
Chicken Biryani Garnish
Fried Onions - a few
Kesar Milk - a few
Red Food Color - a few
Mint and Coriander Leaves - a few
Garam Masala - 1 tsp

Once the basmati rice is added, it should be cooked on a low flame for 15 minutes. If the biryani pot has cooled down, start by cooking on a high flame for 2-3 minutes, then let it rest for 10 minutes. बासमती चावल डालने के बाद इसे 15 मिनट तक धीमी आँच पर पकाना है। यदि बिरयानी का बर्तन ठंडा हो गया हो, तो शुरुआत में 2-3 मिनट के लिए तेज आँच पर पकाएँ, फिर इसे 10 मिनट के लिए ढक कर रखें।

only 15 mins low flame pe rakhna hai basmati rice add karne ke baad, agar biryani ka bartan thanda ho gaya ho to aap 2-3 mins starting me high flame pe rakhiyega fir rest dena hai 10 mins ka :)
