I live in Istanbul, Turkey and this is my everyday song, can't get enough of it. The more I listen, the more it grows on me. I have a very old memory related to this song. It was my childhood, I must be 8-9 years old and I used to live in Lahore, Pakistan at that time, I remember one of my most favorite uncle Faheem , he entered our home on his motorcycle , it was raining, the courtyard was wet and he was singing this song in such a happy mood (perhaps he returned from some date). I didn't listen to this song for a very long time but that memory stayed with me and then few years back I discovered this song. Hai apna dil too aawara.

Dev Anand is still my father's favourite and will always be. There's a certain charisma which is unmatched. Guide opened my eyes to the legend. Jai Ho Doordarshan of the late 80s and 90s.

Real artist dev anand raj kapoor raj kumar n dilip kumar ..... madhu bala , meena kumari ,bina rai ..... yesteryears music was truly soulful melody of the muse .... songs of sirens ... now its only noise n filth excluding those of Atif aslam n few others .... Atif aslam n couple of others are still decent n mastered in creativity .....

Rich barritone... He was compared to Frank Sinatra.... Hemant kumar had a total 3 octave range like another legend Md. Rafi... He sang a bengali song under the composer Salil chowdhury named 'Shono kono ekdin'.... Where his 3 octave range was utilised.

Hemant Kumar had a natural breezy voice but this song is truly sonorous. Outstanding singer! This and 'Yeh raat yeh chandni phir kahan' are my favourites of Hemant. Both are by S D Burman and sung for Dev Anand - what coincidence!

This song reminds me of my parents. My mom, because she was an ardent fan of Dev Anandji and my dad, he first played this song in a gramophone we had when I was 7 or 8 years. Nostalgia galore!

I had the greatest pleasure being in the company of Dev Sahab on 3 occasions. The sweetest, loving, generous & down to earth humans I have known.

My father was big fan of dev Anand sahab, they always likes to listen dev sahab song , i think in Bollywood industry One of most handsome actor was dev Anand sahab and his smile was really charming.😊😊😊.

Hemanta Kumar Mukherjee or known as Hemant Kumar, his voice itself was like a symphony played on piano. If his songs are listened attentively, it would be noticed that there had been no discontinuity in his voice. As melodious as when a harmonic symphony is being played on piano along with no discontinuity but astonishingly simple coherence made almost all of his song masterpiece.

Great Dev Sahab I think no one can replace him with their facial expressions, uniqe look and personality, unique style of dialogue delivery.
