They didn't do it because of disrespect, They convert Hagia Sophia into a Mosque because the Ottomans conquered the land so they have the rights and they need a Mosque Obviously, Hagia Sophia is suited for it to be Mosque because it has lots of spaces, They're not doing it for fun there is a reason they leave the other churches alone, So the Christians can still pray

They made it a mosque to anger the Balkan countries, Ukraine and Russia. This is an important historical temple for us @@IronDroid925
