I'm getting the sense that Hades is trying to say "You don't owe me anything, nor do you have to pay me for affection, also I acknowledge the hurt i caused and am limited in how i can fix things, but I'm going to try anyway but it may not be in ways you expect, however i wish to be honest with you, grrr" and i think that's wonderful

Or it could be the other way around, he likes it a little too much and he knows it. If he has any, he might fall off the proverbial cliff and he's trying to avoid that.

This entire game is about reuniting and making peace with an estranged family. It's one of the better interpretations of Greek myth I've seen. Better than treating the entire pantheon like a boss rush, as so many games do.

I like how hades is potrayed in this game He is a pretty good interpretation of how a serious father interacts with his son He will point out your flaws ,mistakes and failers without a second thought . However he truly loves and cares about his son And though he fails to express it as openly as zag would like due to his experiences and bad habits He is tring to learn to show his affection better I hope that supergaint will add more interaction between hades and Zagreus in the future I just can't get enough of their slow but stedy mending of their bond

Hades is trying, but it's up to Zagreus whether or not to accept it. Remember folks: just because somebody is trying to mend a relationship, it doesn't mean their efforts are above reproach, and both parties can decide that the others' efforts aren't enough. You can decide if the reconciliatory efforts of the person who hurt you just aren't enough. Don't let anyone gaslight or bully you into accepting someone just because they're "trying".

For Hades and Zagreus specifically, it's interesting - Zag is trying to mend things with gifts, Hades rejects that attempt and tries to mend things while maintaining his pride. Ultimately both father and son struggle to understand one another's language of apology, but by this time there's a modicum of trust and grace.
