Hi, I'm glad you love Japanese skin care products. Yes, Hada Labo indeed is the best when comes to Hyaluronic Acid related products in Asia. The milk actually in Asia here we called it as emulsion. And the gel cream can also be use as a wash off mask if applied a little thicker. And the Gokujyun (red) range of products is understood as with Retinol. Next is the Shirojyun (blue) range, as you mentioned for skin whitening/brightening, you're right about it but it's understood here in Asia this range is with Alpha Aburtin. These few ranges are considered as the older range or the common range as they have been selling for some time. The latest range just launched a few months back (I think it was about 2 months ago around April 2019), is the Kouji range. This kouji range has 4 products - the cleansing foam (120gm), treatment essence (110ml), treatment day cream (50gm) and treatment night cream (50gm). What's so interesting about this range is that, it's made from rice fermentation's extract. The same technique as brewing Japanese sake to derive the rice fermentation's extracts and also is the same technique SK II used to producing their signature key product the miracle water with pitera®. It's rich in amino acids, kojic acid and vitamin B2 & B6 and few other stuffs. If you can find this in UK, I highly recommend you to give this new kouji range a try, I guess you will like it more than the common ranges of Hada Labo's products. Kouji range is an “upgraded” range compared to the usual one's. Ever wonder why and how Japanese or Korean ladies's skin often look like “glass skin” as they called it ? It looked so ageless, translucent, radiant, bright, clear and flawless, it's not about the makeup products we Asians use. In Asia, skin care products are the most important comparing to makeup products. We Asians believe or took in serious concentrations on the skin care products we use and we invest in some good quality products, not much by the product's brand but is more on about what is the goodness of the products can do for skin, and the more natural ingredients the more better. With a good and healthy skin is much more important than using too much of cosmetics / makeup products to cover up. A healthy glowing skin is the key of Oriental beauty. You can check it out this Hada Labo's Kouji range by Google or here at KZread. But KZread here mostly are Asians doing the products' review in Asian languages. Better you just Google it and with the products' image and with some reviews by the users. Personally my opinion after I'd tried this Kouji range of products, I find that perhaps there's no need to spend that extra money on the facial cleanser. It's just a normal cleanser and I don't find any special effects. It's the treatment essence most important. And next is the day and night treatment creams. The day treatment cream's texture is a gel base cream, while the night treatment cream is a more thicker consistency type of cream. I think this is very subjective to individual's skin types, concerns and preference. Personally myself I prefers the day cream as it's very light weight of treatment cream. It absorbed well with my skin type. But certainly you won't see immediate results next day after using, give in some patience and stick to these products for a month, I'm sure you'll be able to see some improvements of your skin's texture.

@@hienho9059 You're most welcome. It's just my personal opinion after used this Kouji range of products. I think you don't really need to spend that extra money buying the cleansing foam, coz it's just a normal cleansing foam I find, not much special effects. It's the treatment essence that is the key product. Next are the day & night's treatment creams. If you don't like thick type of cream, then the day's treatment cream is more ideal coz it's consistency is gel base type. Or in another way round, if gel type is not your preference, then the night's cream is what maybe you're looking for, it's consistency is a little thicker than gel, and it's a cream based product. For me I preferred the day's cream / gel type. Overall, it's very personal preference subject to individuals' skin type, concern, or the place you're living at. I do understand countries with 4 seasons especially during winter, many preferred something that is a little thicker consistency to keep skin moisturize against the cold dryness. I'm in South East Asia's region, naturally here don't go through 4 seasons, and our weather here is humid, hence, choosing a lighter consistency skin moisturizer is naturally for skin's better absorption. I hope my information(s) to you is helpful. Perhaps before you buy, if there's sampling of the products available at the shelf for trying, it's more better you have a try to know how are the products' texture. But I hope you don't test the products on your face for hygienic purpose.

For everyone wanting to try the Hada Labo lotion, don't be too intimidated by its tackiness. There is actually a reason for that. The "tacky feeling" from using Hada Labo lotions comes from the hyaluronic acid derivatives. It _really is intentional and was instructed by one video from the brand, which is about how to use it._ Based on those videos, you really, *really* need to pat your skin and "stretch" it out as your face sticks with your palm, slowly letting it go off by itself, then you repeat until tackiness is gone. This supposedly makes skin more able to let the product seep in it, making it more hydrating--or at least that's what Hada Labo is trying to point out, lol Btw, love you and your content! And also for introducing them these products for them to get their hands on ❤️❤️❤️

Try a mist before lotion or use the lotion on damp face, make it thinner, moister and more beneficial as ha can hold a lot of water. I learn this from watching dr dray. Patting on skin can cause it to age faster.

I agree! Plus warming it up in your hands then patting. Absorbs nicely. I use both the lotion and milk together (Premium). I live in Canada and have dry skin and these two together = all day/night moist plump skin. Also I tend to use more than intended but just have to pat a bit or wait a bit longer and it disappears

I came across Hada Labo by accident during my travel to Malaysia. I realize that I didnt carry my moisturizer so i had to run to the nearest drugstore to replenish. The 1 product that i ABSOLUTELY LOVE is the pink jar Light Cream moisturizer. I am more on the oily side and for the 1st time in my 30+ year life i got a moisturizer that quickly absorbed to my skin, PLUMPS, and not leaving a greasy residue AT ALL. The skin is prepped enough then for me to layer it with make up primer after 😁. My country doesnt carry the complete range of this brand, so for the past 3 years i've been lucky to be able to continue my use of this cream from my friends and family that buy them on their travel abroad 😂. For how this cream left my skin feeling, i dont see any way that i would change to other brand or range anytime soon. Thanks for reviewing Hada Labo, James!

I’m so sad to hear that you dislike the oil cleanser because that’s my fave ~ compared to balms, I agree that it’s oilier in texture but I feel like that helps the product slip around the face easier to prevent tugging! So personally I really really love the oil cleanser XD It’s an emulsifying type, so use on dry skin, rub some water in, then wash off, and your skin should feel very clean (but not stripped) and without residue.

As someone who seeks out simple, minimal ingredient lists, Hada Labo has to be one of my favorite skincare brands, and I'd probably say that foaming cleanser is my HG. I need my cleansers to be as gentle as possible, low pH, free of the common irritants, but also really affordable because I hate spending a lot of money on wash off products. That one perfectly fits the bill, and yeah, it seems to last forever! Although it doesn't contain harsh foaming ingredients, I was still worried that a foam cleanser wouldn't be as hydrating or gentle as a cream cleanser, but I actually think it is. I love that it feels like moist air on your face lol. You'd think a good affordable, gentle, hydrating cleanser for sensitive skin wouldn't be that difficult to find, but it is. The moist toner is also fantastic.

If the People don't get so much Money, the whole Rate of the Money to the Rest of the World is more "less" or "deeper" they could never buy this Products! It's the same with Pharmaceutics.... Aspirin is lot more espensive in Germany as in Thailand, India, Indonesia a.s.o.! Doesn't matter, for me It's okay, we in Europe we have some more Money than a lot of People in other Countries!

I love how they don't play into that kawaii bullshit and are all about efficiency. Japanese skincare often renew their formulas so products get better and better literally every year or every two years. The ONLY disappointment was when they reformulated the ICONIC Tamagohada face wash. I didn't like the new texture at all.

Tranexamic acid is the MOST exciting ingredient to prevent pigment due to its effect on the plasminogen activation pathway. It is a pigment inhibitor and best used after toner. You mentioned in the video that you liked the results but couldn't definitely say. Both times you mentioned liking the effect, you were holding products containing tranexamic acid. If you suffer from hyperpigmention or inflammation, those products will be your best friend.

Sad that you didn‘t mention the classic premium lotion (yellow) light version... that’s the bestseller and it’s just perfect! It’s exactly like the expensive Hyaluronic acid serums (which cost 15-50$ for 30 ml) but much cheaper and in a much bigger bottle- also with urea in it which is rare. I use it as my hyaluronic serum all year round, love it! And it’s fungal acne safe!😉👌🏼

I just started using the lotion. I love that it has simple ingredients, it's affordable, and will probably last me forever. The first time I used it, I used three drops on my face, and it was too much! I now use just two drops, but I want to see if I can actually use just one drop. It spreads so easily, and it's so hydrating! It's perfect for me because my skin is also quite oily.

The different Hada Labo lotions vary quite a bit in how sticky they are. The Premium lotion in the gold bottle has 5 different sizes of hyaluronic acid and I have found it to be less sticky as the other versions. I believe they’ve finally updated all their packaging and if you keep your eye out they come out with special packaging in larger sizes on occasion. I have a beautiful large Hada Labo pump bottle that’s white with gorgeous peonies on it and get the pouches to refill it. They used to make a wonderful hyauloronic acid facial mist that was a perfect freshener especially in the summer but I don’t think they make it anymore or at least it hasn’t been available for a long time from usual sources that used to carry it.

The oil is heavy, but came off easily with a warm water rinse. Then I follow with the cleansing foam.

I am 45 with oilier skin and I just love Hada Labo. Very few ingredients that will break you out, and the level of moisture is just perfect. I love the oil and foam cleanser, and the HA lotion I apply just a tad while my skin is damp and follow with a light moisturizing lotion (currently I prefer Cerave) to seal it in. The result is my skin being so soft and clear, better than 10 years ago, oddly. Their masks are also wonderful.

This is the more complete review on HL I ever see!! 👏👏 They made a product that I loved so so much. It came out a couple of years ago and I was just in time to buy a lot of it (to bring to my fiends!) before it disappeared. It was a squalene kind of toner, was soooo good. I think it was too poorly promoted or they have the project to create a new version. Now, it came out something similar, with more ingredients and a more gel/water texture, I really enjoy it, the squalene one seemed like water, dried super fast, and felt great, the new one is a little more sticky at the begin but dry easily, and is perfect for me before moisture, I would love to you to try it! They have other creams came out recently, same orribile cheap packaging of the sunscreen. I really really like Hada Labo, I totally agree about the fact that it does what is suppose to do, without to much claiming. I found the white label products to light for me, and I also gravitate more on the red one. I think the green label one is another that is gone, maybe because of that you could not buy it. They came out with a cleanser for who have acne problem (light green tube or pump). Never bought the whitening line but I will try the one you suggest (here in Japan doesn’t have the pump), luckily all this products are cheap enough to experiment! I also didn’t like their mask, there are other drugstore mask that I’m buying (Mediheal and Leaders) and are more “juicy” (I collect all the remain product inside a little jar to use sometimes when I’m without a new one!).

good video, but yes i do agree that japanese skincare does have a difference focus on sequence of application. both the alpha (red) & premium emulsion (gold) have the special hyaluronic complex, which has HA in varius molecular weights. it is found that most HA in skincare is too large to enter the skin for it to actually work! so this range has up to five different weights that enter the skin to the deepest layer and really plump up from deeeep within. so for me, right after toning, i go straight for either one of these while my skin is still moist, apply them and PAT THEM IN. the emulsion will take a while, even with the smallest amount, but it is intensely plumping if done right. which makes it perfect for special occasions. it is also my fave during travel, hotels, airplanes when the air is so drying, it works like a humectant and moisture barrier. and as always with HA, drink lots of water so those molecules get juicy and bouncy!!

I've been using Hada Labo for almost three years now, and I must say that I have no problems at all with any of their products.. Except for the Tamagohada facial wash 😄 I usually use the light lotion of the Gokujyun (the one for the dry skin), then milk lotion of Shirojyun, and last for the third layer I use lotion of the Gokujyun alpha (for the anti-aging one). It works very well with almost any cosmetic I use over the years. If I got any small break out, I just knew it wasn't them (the Hada Labo products), but the make up I used instead. Because of believe it or not, I feel like these Hada Labo products make my skin back to the neutral state.. Like, whenever I had a little pimple or breakout, when I skipped my make up (only used sun screen) and only used Hada Labo, my skin just "healed" faster 😄 I'm not beauty expert, but I believe these Hada Labo products really do work on me 😉

I still love SkinCeuticals bc their products are backed by dermatologists and clinical research. Their CE Ferulic antioxidant serum which has spawned a million of Vitamin C serum wannabe dupes, I will begrudgingly still purchase, bc it’s patented down to the pH level. I love Hada Lobo it has been the best match for my skin! So glad there’s a review! I recently slowly started to introduce TO (since I moved to a country that doesn’t sell HL) and after 2 months I had to stop. My skin broke out the worst it’s ever been in my life! To the point were friends & family were concerned, because my face was looking so bad (pimples everywhere, large, deep pimples, small pimples all over my face and even down my neck). I never used to get breakouts only 1-2 tiny pimples, which fade in a day, during my period. As soon as I stopped and went back to HL my skin returned back. But sadly I have so much redness & scarring from the OT, I know it will take months to heal and get back to my original skin. Just asked my mom to send me a massive shipment from Singapore of my favourite HL skin care. IT IS THE BEST *for me*

I'm binging your videos while I work, I just love your accent. Thanks for the great videos! This is a case of your skin being different than mine, I love the HadaLabo Oil Cleanser. But I've got some dry as hell skin. :) I also love the foam cleanser. I love this brand because it's simple, affordable, and they offer refills!

Thanks for the review. Now I know what to buy. I’ve been looking at the brand for a while now.
