I'd say it depends on the situation. Some hacks and some gadgets dont always work as advertised, so experience them first, but I do agree the hacks are less expensive.

Some of those hacks were amazing! I kept nudging my Husbeast to take his earbuds out to see the awesome ones.

Life hack $300 cajon pedal. Basically a drum kick with a bicycle break cable attached. Buy a $20 kick and a pack of $10 soft microphone head covers. Cover the head of the kick with as many mic covers as you can get to go over it to keep from hurting your drum. Place drum in front of you, hole facing outward, to play. Savings of about $250-$310.

In general, it looks like the product would only be useful if you plan on doing the thing it does in mass/a lot
