Not illegal there's the first amendment the right to record in public and since McDonald's is open to public therefore it's public. Now if they ask you to leave you will have to leave there property so you can still stand on the sidewalk and still record as you are on public property and they can stomp there feet as much as they like as it's not illegal and if the police try and stop you then the police is breaking the law by stopping you using your first amendment rights therefore you can sue them. Not many police or people really know the law and your rights.

Probably not illegal to strap a bluetooth speaker to the speaker box at a drive thru. Not sure if it would work anymore but you used to be able to modify a cb radio to transmit on the frequency of the speaker. That said the phone call at the end is staged, the cops wouldn't be going to his house for that, and definitely not that soon. If anything he would get a notice of trespass next time he went to that location.

Just as some friendly advice, if the person or the employee took your speaker or camera or whatever you left near the drive thru they would be the ones commiting the criminal act. Yeah its not the nicest thing to mess with the restaurants drive thru like you did but you did not do anything 'criminal'. The worst that can happen is McDonald's could called the police and have you trespassed from all of their establishments, but its actually very illegal when the worker or the random lady decides to take your belongings. It's kinda funny how you can mess with a business like this but you can eventually come out in the right because some Manger or some customer decides to be "the hero of the day"

I just saw the end, you definitely were right the worst that can happen is the police would trespass you but the police can not just do that on their own, McDonald's would have to tell them. The claim that the people were scared you were stealing their credit card info is just insane, either it means that some people nowadays just have absolutely no clue how technology works or the McDonald's employees made it up so the police actually had to follow up and give you shit about it.

They dealt with this the right way and the fact he didn't even try to explain it he kept laughing and pretending he wasn't doing it and they weren't recording. I think when you watch other prank channels on yt that do more irl stuff they're used to handling with cops. They know they don't have the grounds to arrest or even detain really more.nust warn them. But also for the most part they let them know it was a prank and tell them they didn't mean any harm etc etc. What he did doesn't help his case driving away and not resolving it.

That's true, I was banned banned from a store for wrong reasons relating to my employment as a vendor there, that led me to contact employment lawyers(one said he saw something there). But I can take them to small claims court if they thew my stuff away bc they barred tnety to me and refused to give me my icecream from the corporate fridge(the GM claimed it already went bad). Thr employment lawyer can go after the GM too, well has to bc her employee also said a discriminatory thing to me. But evne if she didn't I can take the GM to a small claims court. I just have to be careful that they don't counter sue me, but those threats has to do more with me getting the stuff back aftert they me and my old coworkers who I reported to the the eeoc, accuse me of stalking But you definitely get a business in trouble
