They for sure agree with this but that doesn't mean much and it's not the most important thing. Politics might seem to most as the most important and serious thing to consider, but that's just part of the propaganda and even if we accept that, what can one do against not the politicians, but against the most powerful countries. Nothing really, maybe a 100 years ago you can try to lead a revolt against them, nowadays it's just a futile thought. One should only try to do something if they can actually do it. Otherwise you will just feel powerless and hopeless. Try to improve and prepare for the things that you can actually do something about.

This debate about determinism and free will has been a problems in philosophy and yet no one knows the answer, and I think he is opposition of free will. Yup. Free will and the ability to exercise that is one of the greatest gifts given to us by God and the defining factors that separate us from animals. Animals have some level of that ability but not to the capacity that we have. Governments can take away the ability to exercise it to some degree but not the intrinsic inherent power of it and its ability to guide the way people use free will. I agree with him in that it can be manipulated but it is still the ability to choose. He wouldn't even be up there talking about peoples ability to "choose" and how we need to choose rightly to save our future without the reality that people are "choosing" i.e. exercising free will to do otherwise which is creating the conundrum we have. He doesn't believe that there is even a God so as intelligent as he is, he is quite lacking in some very fundamental and quite evident facts. Which is pretty sad really.

It should occur with alacrity. Given the lack of impact "An Inconvenient Truth" had as mentioned during the discussion thirteen years later, maybe a block buster movie isn't the way to go. During a previous talk you encouraged individuals being engaged is critical to outcome suggesting they join a group. Ultimately the need to influence governments through public demand will help. I agree its complicated and no easy task. A group of Harari's Heroes dotted throughout the globe will help.

He doesn't believe in freedom. He said in this video, that freedom is an illusion, and that those who think they are free, are the most dangerous humans. Hm...... Sounds like he isn't free to take part in any of this new technology that will dominate everyone and serve ultimately the ultra rich. He is obviously a victim of his chemistry. It just happens to benefit the ultra rich. For those that don't know, he is the advisor of one of the most powerful people on this planet. Klaus Schwab, who leads the world economic forums where the ultra rich come together to brainstorm on how to dominate and enslave the world. It just happens to be a convenient truth for someone in his position, that freedom is an illusion and is dangerous.

Yes! Black mirror have somewhat portrayed all this but I just did not think that it was advancing at such a inconceivable pace after reading Homo Deus! But such a great video watched the whole of it, and yes like Prof. Yuval said, the turn of events may repeat itself similar to the 20th century and cause a great separation of biological classes.. this is more worrying than even China, this concerns all of us! not just China, and if western countries do it BECAUSE of China (well hopefully westerners can think straight this time after colonising the entire planet for a while), I tell you what all developing and third world countries will suffer. I place my bets. There is a far greater reason of privacy of doing it rather then going for the arms race. I come from the African continent and live in Australia for the last 8 years, and not many people really give a damn about third world countries. Most developed nations enjoy their own lifestyle and interesting technology that their kids can play with. This could very well create many more classes of biological status more than the amount of countries fighting world wars, if put in the wrong hands... I just wish we had the free will to reject all this and move back to helping third world countries instead - but NO! people want Hi Tech shit right? For sure it will hit developed nations first, so they will be the first to test it and see the problems, due to financial resources and maybe a bit of capitalism... As for the rest, well, catch the last train or get left behind and die early I guess??? I worry more for third world countries than the political arms race here. although they are somewhat related but Africa has suffered a lot and this is the climax of it. 21st century. We should really get to know ourselves at this point in time, get into Zen if you need to, it is great. Because the Long Winter is yet to come (Game of Thrones quote) hahaha! And this time there is no Dragons. There is only your own trust in knowing yourself, or get lost in a sea of virtual consciousness. Good way to die, isn't it? ;) Peace!

I’ve just watched Nosedive , I’d hate to live in a world of phoney ppl , it reminds me of yt vids that click bait the title just for views, the hunger games are around the corner , living in high tech smart cities where you’ll be monitored from getting up too going to bed , if the system chip our neurological map they’ll be monitoring our sleep patterns too , no escaping from anywhere then , dystopian nightmare , glad I’ve lived most of my life relatively free , 60 now so I wouldn’t be getting up to much nowadays anyway , I really feel sorry for the generations to come , look at how these inbred morons in western governments are behaving now , you can only but imagine what the clowns circus will be up to in their private islands in the sun ☀️

So- What happens when we alloe people to " Hack" out brains- Anf then someone " hacks" into our brain or suddenly turns off the power ( because thats never happrned)

Only thing that makes us human is freewill if ruled by algorithms we would end up as a machine. Humans ruled by algorithms however practical must be avoided and regulated or else it shall only lead to anarchy.

not anarchy, worse it would lead to the complete opposite of anarchy; humans becoming more and more conditioned by automated manipulation, steered into a state where all originality and initiative is lost, then becoming totally controlled slaves if not eliminated. As you say, the task for us is to implement principles that regulate Automation and AI development such that we are not lead into traps by adopting ill-considered designs of very powerful machines.

Just looked up this Ken Roth individual. What a hypocrite, he only cares about watch human rights when it concerns his allies who are being violated. These types of individuals are despicable. They flout their caring and so called "empathy", but only when it serves their interest and they even monetize it. Absolutely disgusting. One can only hope a benign singularity will develop eventually who can correct such abhorrant individuals from gaining such power. This is exactly what Yuval is on about, there is a battle for people's attention and in every conflict where injustice occurs, each side is trying to get the eyeballs to point towards their sad story, even when the other side may be suffering much worse atrocities.

humans were already hackable 1000s of years ago. It's not because the possibility for it was obvious back then that it wasn't possible. it just required more time and expertise. Talking about how just only an arms race is bad, but it's all kind of rces between countries for superiority that cause more harm then good. We could achieve so much more if they were capable of cooperating with one another.

Please. Middle class Americans can't even afford insulin. Epipens are way too expensive. Good nutrition is inaccessible to a large amount of people. So is home ownership. These technologies will be used to dominate people against their will to the benefit of a small few of the world's most corrupt and greedy power addicts and their offspring.
