Watched this movie today, and it was awesome. Loved the soundtrack and the actors, especially those who played young Geeta and young Babita. Just also a fun fact: ‘Dangal’ (pronounced dang-al) also means ‘honor’ or ‘dignity’ in Filipino. Which is also fitting, considering the great honor Geeta gave for her homeland. 💯 Would recommend

So sad to hear the passing away of Suhani Bhatnagar:( My daughter loved her, had watched Dangal at age of 11. She was so inspired to become a wrestler. She joined the school wrestling team. I haven’t told her yet. Hanikarak bapu was her favorite song. RIP and may God give courage to the family. Just too sad.

This movie is a proof that you don need larger than life budget and Vfx and grand scale to make it a success. Just a good story , emotions , few funny dialogues , great acting and good execution of everything can do wonders . A movie with a mere budget of 70 crores collected 2000crores plus at the box office worldwide. Even now I feel indian audience just want a good story and great acting .....even if it is shot In a village . They don't need heavy vfx and 500crore budget and action sequences. I don know why indian directors and production houses are not able to understand this simple fact.
