This USDM '1720' board type Non-VTEC to VTEC ECU Conversion kit contains the necessary components to properly convert your Non-VTEC ECU to VTEC. After the conversion, your ECU will be electronically equivalent to a factory P28 ECU. NOTE: This is kit is for use with a socketed/chipped ECU with VTEC engine mapping. (will not run VTEC engine without proper VTEC engine ROM installed)
These instructions detail how to add VTEC circuitry to a non-VTEC '1720' style ECU board. Note that the ECU must also run a VTEC programmed chip or ROM for VTEC operation (the stock program won't operate VTEC).
SK5050s high side switch - install at IC14
D4001 diode - install at D11 (Be sure grey striped side matches marking on board)
820k resistor (gold,brown,red,blue stripes) - install at R67 (polarity doesn't matter)
O ohm resistor (brown with black stripe)- install at J10
yellow transistor - install at C60 (be sure of polarity - notice "+" sign on one side and match with board)
NPN transistor labeled D1423 - install at Q26 (writing faces you/front of ECU)

hi guys sorry for disturb you. I have a p06 with vtec installed and honda s100. Can i mount an s300? will work in my prelude EU bb1 ? Really thanks in advance

Its probably best you trade your s100 in towards a s300 if the s100 is still working...they will give credit towards the s300 which is more suited for tuning

P28 is best over all for tuning
Hi is there any way to get part numbers? In my country there are no kits. I mean all parts needed (resistors, transistors, etc..)

This specific video allpies to a OBD1 1720 board.....all OBD1 Honda ECUs are similar. Chipping is the same procedure for any ECU that can take a 28 on SST chip

The biggest difference with a P05 is the o2 sensor wiring. P05 is a 2 wire everything else is a 4 wire

What's your Instagram bro do you have one or SnapChat so I could go in more for details and info because I feel like I got played by my tuner supposedly this PO5 was converted to VTEC and chipped and I opened it and it's not the converted to a p28

All I know is what your video explained of soldering and unsoldering with the connections is not done to mine there's nothing there c14 is empty d10 is empty c60 is empty j10 is empty q26 is empty I'll look for the rest but I'm pretty sure they're empty too I got played bro I paid 300 bucks for this ECU and plus on top a tune
Will this work on a 1980 board p75?
