H2S and SO2: ABC's of Initial Response

This video provides the steps that need to be taken in the event of an H2S release. It goes over the ABC's and DEFG's of initial response. It provides scenarios and asks viewers to determine what their first steps would be and which routes of escape to use based on wind currents. This video is an excerpt taken from our online course titled "H2S and SO2." If you are interested in receiving certification from ABCS Safety Training, visit our website at www.albertabcsafety.com.

This is fantastic. I am a safety professional and I appreciate the excellent visuals showing how to properly navigate around gas leaks with wind direction. Well done.

I’d say it’d be a bad idea to flush the eyes with water until they are clear of the area where hydrogen sulfide is present, because H2S mixed with water would turn it into sulfuric acid.
