I didn't like how the girls were so inconsiderate of Rikki...she had feelings too - iso mean, she didn't even like when her friend's mother gave her a hug at the sleep over party or when they all made a big deal about her saving Elliott. She was so uncomfortable and she shouldn't have to hold in her feelings just to spare someone else's.

my heart still melts during the moment Cleo asks 'will the crush wear off on its own?' and Lewis looks down at the floor replying 'not in my experience'. I know this whole episode is about Rikki dealing with someone having a crush on her but the first time I watched this episode this sealed Clewis as endgame for me. It was just too cute.

rikki was right, she was careful, Emma didn't really give Rikki an option but to watch Elliott. his safety needed to come first. nothing of him running off was rikkis fault. no means no even if he is little his actions are not her responsibilities. she needed to get firm with him because he wasn't getting the message that she isn't interested. its not her fault he ran off he needs to learn to control his actions I don't care how little or cute he is

Yeah, I can't even begin to start with how cringe that whole bit of dialogue was. Especially with them being upset with Rikki for not entertaining him; just rip it off, let kids learn their situations, and how the world works. While there are good lessons to be learned in this show, I felt this specific episode was a bit lacking in that department.

@@BreezyDylan That was later, first Emma decided to be rude because Rikki "went for a swim" as if said swim wasn't to save her own brother from drowning. The brother that was her responsibility, not Rikki's. Was she in the right for snapping at him? Maybe not. But she tried to let him down gently and even asked her friends for help. None of them had any idea, they didn't help her at all. And even when Rikki tried to open up about her difficulty with relationships in general, Emma shut her down immediately. So yeah, Emma is very much in the wrong here and Cleo is just confused and even if she understands Rikki's point of view she tends to stick with Emma anyway, which is not okay.

​ @Oana Dumitrascu I've gotta say, as much as I love this episode, when Emma found out that Rikki went swimming, I was like, "Come on girl, please don't be that hard on her, it was her identity or your brother's life." While it's true that Rikki does need to be more careful with how others may find out her identity, they should've addressed that Rikki didn't have too much of a choice with regards to saving her brother (I mean she did, but you'd be a monster if you were "careful"...). She was just doing the right thing. I mean, to be fair, Rikki could have gone like "Hey, I saved your brother's life. You're welcome." (Also, Emma, you think more about the mermaid thing than your brother's life? Bruh.)

Rikki is not wrong here, and this is another conditioned way that girls are always told to take care of boys feelings, but no one seemed to care how uncomfortable Rikki was with Elliots persistence. isn't it strange how Emma is totally fine with Elliot wanting Rikki to play with him? Like, if my brother would have done things like that, I would have said ,No' because it's kinda awkward to have a friend who is friends with your eleven year old brother. Especially when you're fifteen or sixteen

I don’t think it’s weird I’ve been good friends with some of my best friends younger siblings it brings everyone closer and it’s harmless. Plus younger ones can feel left out a lot so it’s nice to include them sometimes

Yeah, but it's not like he wanted to play for the sake of playing. He kept trying to make her date him and that's not okay no matter how old you are. Telling a kid to back off doesn't crush their entire world

Excellent episode! Dealing with some important issues, here: boundries, finessing a letdown, coming of age. Perhaps it's natural when children begin to feel like adults for us to reach out to our elders, looking for guidance in a whole new world.

Rikki is amazing. She saved Emma's little brother I don't know why Emma and Cloe are so rude for her 💞🧜🏻‍♀️
