HÉV (Budapesti Helyiérdekű Vasút) is a Suburban railway in Budapest, Hungary. This is a unique railway (I would say, LRT - light rail), which is separated from the Hungarian railways system and consists of several commuter rail lines: Szentendre HÉV H5, Ráckeve HÉV H6, Csepel HÉV H7, Gödöllő HÉV H8, Csömöri HÉV H9. There is a plan to link H5 (north) with H6, H7 (south) lines through the city center, this will be as a Budapest metro line 5. Currently, Budapest HEV trains are represented by the LEW MX and LEW MXA trains, however they will soon be replaced. HEV suburban railway is operated by MÁV-HÉV.

I don't hate these trains and the service is actually pretty good, but they're embarrassingly outdated. The replacements can come soon enough. You're very much up on your information about our future plans, nice!

Thanks! :) This is the same situation as we have with passenger trains in Latvia - they are very outdated (newest ones were made in late 80s/early 90s), but the level of the service is actually good. But yeah, in both cases, new replacement trains should be in foreseeable future!
