Excellent video, Jeremy! The new cigar content is top notch, please keep it coming. Plain packaging laws are just silly and a waste of time and regulatory resources. God forbid the provincial or federal powers that be direct some of that focus to healthcare or transit infrastructure lol. These H. Upmann’s sound excellent though, will have to pick some up soon. The quality from Habanos was terrible the last several years but recently it has improved significantly. Cheers!

Hey Jeremy, keep it up with the great cigar content!. I too am based in this country run by fresh-off-the-Mayflower puritans. Where would you suggest purchasing Cubans from overseas that deliver to Canada. I'll take my chance with customs, even though I got hit ordering New Worlds from the US. Thanks!

The sites I order Cubans from won't ship to Canada, I always ship to my family in the US. And I've been burned by Canadian customs too many times ordering from US sites...

@@FUTUBEFLAGS Too many great new world cigars to justify paying double for a Cuban of similar enjoyment. I'll be doing a video soon about house blend Cubans that cost about $8-$9 cad and available in Canada. A good and affordable way to get your Cuban cigar fix :)

@@SippersSocialClub very true. Or if one finds a small Cuban vitola (which are oddly much more economical then larger ones) that they enjoy (h upmann majestics or regularis for example). Didn't know that Havana Castle had a Cuban house blend (from your latest vid), and I gotta try Casablanca's next time. Keep up the great content!

I've pretty much given up on this hobby...without a cross-border connection like you have it's become cost prohibitive. Mission accomplished to the regulators, I guess. Heaven forbid I sit down and enjoy myself once or twice a week.... At least we still have the world-class Scotch selection at the LCBO....wait....a fu** me!🤬. Cheers Jeremy 😉.

@@saschaoswald480 it is pretty crazy. Even with the taxes and the shipping (assuming a large enough order) it's still cheaper. Plus you can use a coupon code for non-discounted items. Yeah... What's an LCBO? 🤣

So what gives! I bought cigars in Canada at the duty free store at the border. They had the plain wrapper. They did not have the original wrapper underneath it. So I have no idea what they even are. Just bought them because of the price. Says they are from Nicaragua, that’s it. Can anyone confirm this is correct now? Just plain wrappers nothing under it???

Not sure. I thought the original bands should still be on. So annoying cause those cigars could be anything, but you would assume duty-free would be perfectly legit

the problem is can the young ones afford premium cigars😂

Very weird regulation, do they think this will actually stem the consumption of premium cigars? It looks like an MRE.

Dude, you have no idea how to use matches :) It is shocking how many people don't. Keep the match almost parallel to the striking surface so it doesn't break while you are striking it. Then once lit, keep it almost vertical with the fire on top end. Fire moves up, in the video it burned you fingers because of that. You can probably lit a half corona cigar with one of these match, just play with fire for a bit. :) great content though. Canadian govmnt sucks. It is a shame given Fidel Castro's connection...

Just watched a video of someone buying Cubans at a Casa Habano in Mexico and the prices were higher than Canada... 😬
