Kongu has a very long and unwieldy route that is longer by around 100 kms. as compared to the Kerala /Himsagar Exp. route, though it does an important task of linking 2 important cities i.e. Kacheguda/Secunderabad and Yesvantpur/Bengaluru with both New Delhi and Coimbatore and indeed Salem-Erode and Tiruppur in TN, in addition to Hosur and Dharmapuri (primarily with Hyderabad and New Delhi.Other than this Coimbatore passengers eagerly await at least a triweekly connection between New Delhi and Coimbatore via Nagpur-Vijayawada-Gudur-Renigunta-Katpadi.

Nice journey watching beautiful scenery, religious structure like stupa, rivers, forts, and most beautiful was Sun setting with rays coming out of cloud. Good
