Your information sharing was never too much! This is so helpful to so many women. My 25yo daughter has been struggling with endo for along time - originally misdiagnosed as IBS, which wasted a year of lost treatment time. But we are now finally getting her in to see a specialist endo gynie for surgery, and we know it will change everything for her. Thank you for the sharing - keep going! Stay strong!💙

I had stage 4 endo and have had 2 surgeries over the space of 6 years. I was on zoladex injections to preserve my fertility which was an actual lifesaver! Now had a healthy baby boy with one healthy ovary. So glad to hear you’re recovering well and sharing your experience to help others!

Dear Laura! I myself had stage 4 endometriosis and had surgery back in 2014,(I am 53 now) ended up with total hysterectomy. I have been suffering for over 20 years and couldn't handle the pain any more. I felt like a new person since everything was removed. I did end up in intensive care for a few days, my case was very advanced and my organs were severely damaged .it took a loon time in surgery to clean it all up.. I did not have children, I could not because of endometriosis ..But I had to make the decision..saving my life and go child free...I am OK being child free. .You are going to feel so much better, like a new person! no pain...Best of luck! and speedy recovery!

I am so glad you have bounced back from your surgery and are back to your sweet, cheerful, enthusiastic self! It is indeed a scary proposition going into surgery without knowing what the exact outcome will be. I had colon cancer five years ago and the surgeon had to remove 18” of my large intestine. I went into the surgery, as you did, not knowing if I would need a colostomy bag. However, I had one of the best surgeons here in the states and he was able to fix me up! No chemo or radiation required as i was “surgically cured.” Bless you for getting through your ordeal so bravely. You don’t know how strong you can be until you have to be! ❤️

Our experiences really mirror one another. Also stage four, also woke up and asked about the stoma. Glad it went well and you’re recovering. Be kind to yourself and take it easy xxx

I had a general anaesthetic for surgery 6 weeks ago and I had no idea about the after effects either! It took me a good week to stop falling asleep on the sofa and to start to feel more like myself. I love Charlotte tilbury pillow talk lip liner and lipstick This was one of the nicest blogs I’ve seen, I recently had gall bladder removal surgery that went wrong and ended up with 2 weeks of hospital stay, I’m recovered now and so glad you are too ❤

I had exactly the same surgery as you 4 weeks ago for stage 4 endo which was everywhere!! I ended up back in hospital 4 days after my surgery with an infection and was so poorly! I can completely feel what you have been through it is such a tough surgery and no way straight forward. Hopefully you are fine but the last week in the lead up to my first period has been awful, the pain has been horrendous! Just be prepared for that and don’t worry if your pain is bad it is very normal. So still recovering and healing. Sending you so much love and please continue to take it easy for at least 4 to 6 weeks after surgery ❤❤

During the operation, it turned out that one of the ovaries had died as a result of being twisted by a cyst and had to be removed. Today, after 18 years, she is the mother of three wonderful boys. About Charlotte Tilbury I don’t have any favourite because I never used.
