鶴見線夜景前面展望 鶴見→扇町 <Cabview Japanrail Tsurumi Line evening>

This is a cab view of the JR Tsurumi Line in the evening, running through an industrial area. This is the reverse route of the one I previously uploaded
• 鶴見線前面展望扇町→鶴見 <cabview ...
. The section is between Tsurumi Station and Ogimachi Station, and is the same except for the direction of travel and the time of the photo.
I think everyone knows that the view of factories at night is attractive in the evening. I went out to see that view too, but it seemed that there were a lot fewer lights on in the factories, perhaps because modern factories have become more modern, or because Japan's economy has been in a prolonged slump. And also the lights illuminating the station premises.
Due to the limitations of smartphone performance, there are some parts where the image quality is slightly degraded (though there is room for improvement (^^;). Anyway, please imagine that this is the atmosphere of the industrial area from evening to night. It is interesting to see the structure of the roof of the platform, which is dark in the daytime due to the roof's shadow. Photo taken in July 2024

Greetings 14 Ikesan. I find this to be one of your most beautiful videos! The evening light kind of highlights the colors of the buildings and scenery, along the tracks. The lights at each station make them stand out like they don't do during the day. And the reflection in the cab window does NOT detract from the rest of the video! That's my opinion, and my opinion counts, in my opinion (enough opinions for you?). I really enjoyed this video.

Thank you for your comment. I'm relieved to receive such a positive comment. Driving at night, whether in a car or on a train, narrows the human field of vision, which makes us feel anxious. This video also has that kind of character, so I hesitated about uploading it. (It's hard to get lost when you see glittering skyscrapers one after the other, like on the Yurikamome Line.) However, I wanted to show the atmosphere of Japanese trains at night, so I uploaded it, knowing that the image quality would be degraded. My next challenge is to improve the image quality and depict dark areas.

Muito bom esse vídeo ao entardecer 👏😊 Gostaria que fizesse um vídeo passando pela cidade de Fuefuki, província de Yamanashi. Obrigado.

Such evening moods are always something special - of course, this also applies to the railway in particular 👍 The window struts and equipment of the train are a little distracting in the picture... but that can't always be completely avoided, unless you have a good relationship with the railway company or the train driver... who would then agree to place the camera/smartphone directly at the window. ☺️ You probably only filmed in HD and not in 4K!? For example, I have the problem with my iPhone 13 that it quickly gets very warm in 4K mode at 30 or 60 fps and has sometimes crashed (refused to record further)! That's why I only ever film short sequences of a maximum of two minutes with it, with my small digital camera it would be longer and better - but the poor sensitivity in poor lighting conditions like here in the evening rules out using it for this 🫤

This time I'm shooting in 4K mode on my iPhone, but when the subject gets dark, the sensitivity setting automatically increases and the image quality seems to drop. If I were to shoot using the video function of a general mirrorless camera instead of a smartphone, the image quality could be improved, but it would be difficult to hold the camera. This is a matter of balance as to what to choose, but I would like to find a clearer answer as soon as possible. By doing so, the subjects of my interviews will be significantly broadened. However, I still do not have the financial resources to introduce the highest quality equipment, and I think that the use of extravagant equipment should be avoided because it would cause stress to the railway company and other passengers. It's a hobby, so I'll be gentle.

Of course we cannot expect that you buy the best camera equipment for us railway fans! So don’t worry and you‘re right: it’s only a hobby and NO profession - I think the same about my little contributions here at KZread ☺️

@@wandajackson3410 Thank you for your comment. Of course, works of higher quality will strike the hearts of many people and survive. If we do not aim for that, we will stagnate and decline. However, quality does not simply mean the performance of the lens. If the performance of the lens is the criterion for judgment, Capa and Atget have been forgotten. That "ambiguity of the scale" is art. Let's continue to enjoy each other.
