Probably one of the coldest rap songs ever, perfect beat, lyrics with poetry and depth. GZA set the bar high and Inspektah Deck just killed it

Gza is on 🔥🔥 so is INS . Liquid swords is undoubtedly one of the best rap album of all time

Right! In East Germany, we did not learn the English language, and when the wall went down, we were just vibing through the night in the car with RZA (WU) tunes. I use to work at this gas station overnight and blast the Gza album and at the time my white friends didn't understand what they were talking about but now they know every word. Time changes alot

Doubt theyll ever be these types of unique original underground beats. Cant never beat it.

Man…the lyrical precision, metaphors, wordplay, and deepness on this track is on another level. I remember bumping this in high school. Listening to this as an adult gives me a whole other perspective. Unfortunately, hip hop like this no longer exists.

yo it was so ill how other Wu members show up in the videos....that used to always get me hyped.....meth, rza, masta killa, rae, ugod......fot this classic Gza record. There was something in the air during this era of the wu.....a great refreshing sound and imagery.

@dj qb I did and do, actually, there is no inconsistency, a lot of modern and not that modern hip hop artists are quite good. Skepta, Stormzy, The Streets, Kojey Radical, Dizzee Rascal, Context, God Colony`s artists, Ram (from Russia), they all have something massive to show, but GZA`s album is still the bestest in my top, the reference from the (36) chamber of weights and measures. I appreciate your oppinion and I`m glad to know that there are big wave of rappers on a scene who wouldn`t let hip hop become a music for old farts.

In his book he talks about how his basement studio had a major flood right around finishing up the Liquid Swords album.

I remember when I was 9 years old and my uncle showed me this song still bumping it till this day and I’m 21 now

Best hip hop album hands down. I have so many memories in high school getting stoned and listening to this CD on repeat. In 2016, GZA performed this entire album at a small concert in San Diego for just $5.00. That was awesome.

Madness strikes at 12 o'clock midnight stick up kids on the prowl broke the staircase lights. Deck spitting 🔥

One of the most iconic, rawest, most beautiful displays of storytelling there is period!!! Classic verses from both Genius & INS & RZA's prod throughout this whole project is exactly why he's considered the best‼‼‼‼‼🥶🥶🥶🥶 Wutang 4ever‼‼‼🐝🐝

1995. The video and lyrics, especially Dek’s verse was exactly what was going on in my neighborhood at that time in west Philly. It’s as if he was a reporter, narrating what was going on. Always repeat this song 10 times when I hear it.. classic.

I made my moms take me to the record shop to pick this single and also Shadowboxin single. Man I miss them days when all I had was one Gemini turntable and one old ass Gemini mixer.
