Gypsy Rose Blanchard Talks 'The Act,' Love For Taylor Swift & More

Ойын-сауық

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is sharing her story. The 32-year-old, who until last month had been serving a 10-year prison sentence, opened up to Access Hollywood about her release and her new life now, as well as her prison experience and the friendships she made while incarcerated. She also discussed her new Lifetime docuseries "The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard," as well as her forthcoming book. Gypsy also discussed listening to Taylor Swift during her sentence and called her music a "guiding light." Plus, she shared why she won't be watching Hulu's "The Act" - but said Joey King, who portrayed her in the series, got her voice "spot-on." Lifetime's six-hour, three-night special "The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard" premieres Jan. 5 at 8/7c and concludes on Jan. 7. Each night's episodes stream on Lifetime the following day. "Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom" is out Jan. 9. Tune in to see more of Gypsy's interview on "Access Hollywood" next week.

    Shes so right about not reliving the trauma being the best option for her. It is very dangerous to do this because it can send you spiraling and get you in a negative space. It is not mentally healthy to keep reliving trauma.

    @K.M.V.S-86the stupidity is crazy. Gypsy didn’t know how old she was. Her mom told her she was around 16 and would not show her her birth certificate. She didn’t understand that she was an adult until she found her birth certificate. If you actually read up on her story maybe you would know instead of being ignorant to it. She could not leave because she thought she was a child and her mom wanted her to sign her life away to her, and she almost did

    I'm sorry, but she could have walked away at 18 and not even law enforcement could have stopped her. And if it's true her mother had conservatorship, the courts over see that and she could 💯 appealed to them. With all that said, at 23 year old you know exactly what you are doing. Making her famous is sending the wrong message to so many young people around the world. "Premeditated murder". And before you come for me, I'm sincerely sorry for all she endured. But where the hell were her family members? Where were the doctors? Where were the authorities?

  • @tenilleschaefer5863

    @tenilleschaefer5863

    I am genuinely not coming for you but... She endured horrible torture and brain washing her WHOLE life. Every single adult she encountered had been manipulated by her mother. Doctors had done unnecessary procedures on her because of what her mother told them. She had zero reason to think that law enforcement or any person in authority would believe her over her mom. Her mother even lied to her about how old she was. All of that being said I do agree that her being made out as a celebrity is so unhealthy and sends a horrible message. She deserves to have a life now but her getting out and living a quiet private life would be much more appropriate.

He thought he was saving her, and will now spend the rest of his life behind bars. She could have spoken up so many times before resorting to the murder of her mother. With all the doctors appointments, hospital visits, and other adults in her life she could have told someone what was happening. Stop infantilizing Nick! If y'all could just do some research, Nick said his Dark Side enjoys killing and he would do it again. She repeatedly asked him for plan C which was to get her pregnant instead of killing her mom. She expressed several times to Nick about getting her pregnant instead of killing her mom. But y'all just want to play the card for Nick because he's autistic, just because he's autistic doesn't mean he doesn't have a conscience. He is still a danger to society, he was jerking off at a McDonald's play place for 9 hours! He wanted to sexually assault DD's dead body, Gypsy said no absolutely not! He is a danger and I'm so sick of people saying he's a mentally handicapped because he didn't know what he was doing, this is why we have school shootings. Because of people constantly infantilizing people that are autistic. There's a thing called high functioning autism meaning you know what you're doing

    @@JulesorjulzRight ! I like to hear the ex boyfriend side, and possibly his own family. Just goes to show how many sheep 🐑 there are in this world to believe a pysocpath bullshit !Children are a product of their own environment they do take what they learn and use it. Manipulating an autistic person is sickening what many numb nuts / pysocpath narcissistic people do. charming people wearing a fake mask will soon fall off. What her mother did was horrible also what she did is just as bad ! She claimed she’s nothing like her mother 🙄 ok 👍 also stated she learned to lie and is good. Manipulating a special needs person is just as harmful as what her mother did to her! I hope karma gets her & she ends up back in jail ! Criminals don’t last long enough on the outside! Especially when they have mental illness/ personality disorders that don’t seek proper medical care.

    the moment she was released i tbh felt kind of guilty watching The Act. Its not entirely accurate and makes her actual childhood a high budget horror film...idk i just don't feel right

    I know enough She needs intensive therapy. She dismisses that she manipulated him a young guy with intense mental health to kill her mother . Seriously she dismisses that very quickly . Could she still be playing victim? All about me

    I’m so happy for her. I really feel for her. She served her time for what she did and now has a chance to do good with her life and enjoy her autonomy. I want to read her book I really hope there is eventually a printed copy.

    What happened to a criminal can’t profit off their crime ? I’m glad she is happy and all but she is profiting off her crime. While the special needs boy sits in jail for life. Just wondering for the ones that thought she had no choice then he should have been a hero who saved her right.

    She is evil and such a liar. She premeditated this murder a year in advance. She definitely stabbed her mother along with Nicolas that she manipulated She will eventually get hers. Not all of us are believing her wickedness

    Considering she wasn't educated, she speaks really well and is very mature. What I really like and I find very inspirational is she looks forward, she doesn't show that her past bothers her. She has an amazing story and I hope her book will be available to buy in the U.K.😊
