I do group jams with friends a lot and we settled on a 2-hour limit before we burn out.

Yeah, two hours seems like "enough." (Btw just saw you joined the discord!)

Hey dude, 10:44 that's interesting discovery... I need to try it. To that vibrato - I think lowering gauge might help (obviously) but for me lowering string action made a lot of difference. Like vibrato on thinner strings is easier but on thicker strings it was a problem for me. Even though strings are .010s I was still struggling to make a good vibrato, it felt resisting. So after lowering string action it was better. Not saying it's impossible but takes a lot of (needless) pain I'd say. Tommy Emmanuel has really low action on his guitars and uses .012s or even .013s and he's able to dig in and makes a pretty juicy vibrato. 14:40 40GB for 2hrs video? That's a lot lol. Does it record in 1080p?

Yeah, I noticed the airpod "effect" a while ago. Odd, for sure. Re vibrato: I'm already using 10s with pretty low action so I think it's just a matter of learning the motion, getting used to it, and getting it up to speed. Even after a couple of 10-minute sessions, the strings started to feel a bit more "stretchy." And yeah, I couldn't believe how big the files were when I started the channel. I'm shooting in 1080p. It would probably take a week to upload a 2-hour video in 4k lol

@@justadudepracticing Hm, so either fps is unnecessarily high or it records in high bitrate (which is also unnecessary cause YT will compress it). It's possible to change it. I think there's a boundary where you can't even recognize it visually and quality will be the "same" but lower in size. So you can spare some time on uploading. :)

Could always do a second hour only day too, unless the point is to capture all of the practice ?

Yeah, I've thought about it but the point is to have a complete record.

How many hours total do you think you have played/practiced guitar?

Good question. I've played off and on for a long time so it's hard to tell.
