Gyeon Cure Review - ESOTERIC Car Care!

Gyeon Q2M Cure: www.esotericcar...
The primary job of Q2M Cure is maximum prolonging of the base quartz coating durability, e.g. Q2 Prime or Q2 Mohs. Through a regular maintenance you may gain an extension of an excellent hydrophobic effect up to the 90% durability of the base coating.
In order to make work faster and more effective, the application of Q2M Cure both on a dry and on a wet car (after finishing up the washing) is possible. Laying out over a wet surface facilitates drying with a waffle towel - the paint immediately becomes slippery and displays antistatic features.
Efficiency is the one of the key features of all Gyeon products, while Q2M Cure seems most illustrative of that. One or two sprays should be sufficient to cover with a protective coating an entire panel as big as a door. Low consumption translates into a great value for the quality of our quartz-based detailer.

    Thank you Todd, I've come to highly regard your expert know-how. I still have a question about this product: is there something in the formula that differentiates it from all the other silica sprays out there specifically in terms of its ability to boost the longevity of the base coating? I'm wondering whether I could top Gyeon One with a more durable silica spray of my choosing and still extend the lifespan to a comparable degree.

  • @Esotericdetail

    @Esotericdetail

    Жыл бұрын

    Each coating maintenance product is going to vary a bit in terms of durability. But having said that, it also depends on how often you wash your car and how often you want / like to apply your maintenance product. For instance, if a maintenance coating by itself claims to last 6 months, nobody is going to wait 6 months between applications. If you like to regularly maintain your coating, then find one that you simply like or is easy to use because you'll most likely be applying it more often than you need to, and therefore the durability isn't nearly as much of a factor.

    @@Esotericdetail Thank you very much for your helpful reply! I totally get your point re durability. Can I take it then that any decent silica spray (topper or standalone sealant) should boost the longevity of the base coating about as well as Cure does?

    I love using gyeon products and definitely use Cure after I coat vehicles with Mohs Evo. I like diluting cure 50/50 like you mentioned in the video. One area that I struggle with is having small fibers come off my mf towels. This is highly visible on dark paints like black. I've tried using a variety of towels for cure removal and still deal with this issue. What towel do you recommend for a dry application after a coating? I've used trc's ftw, pearl and gauntlet. I'm careful with my mf towel washing and wash them separate in cool water, with rags to riches and dry on low heat along with making sure the lint trap is clean.

  • @Esotericdetail

    @Esotericdetail

    Lint can be troublesome at times for sure. I'd do a comparison with both short and long nap towels to see if one gives you better results than the other...that would be our troubleshooting process if we ran into that situation on our shop.

    Cure is a great product but I would not recommend buying it as a stand alone product. Cost is $34.99. For $18.99 you can buy gyeon wet coat which is super easy to use. Just spray on clean wet car and hose off. Note. These coatings don't clean. If you're car looks like crap before it will still look like crap after. If you're going to go through the time and effort of paint correction then go for gyeon q2 one. Easy to use for beginners with no experience in applying ceramic coating.

    Hey guys! I bought a Porsche with an IGL ceramic coating and I've been using Chemical Guys BlackLight and AfterWash. From what I understand that's bad because both are not PH neutral. IGL actually recommends Gyeon Bathe in the paperwork I found in my glovebox. So I plan to switch to Gyeon Bathe Essence. But should I be using a lubricating agent each time I dry? It doesn't look like Cure is the best bet because you're only supposed to use once every few months? I was considering Ammo Hydrate. Or should I just dilute Cure and stick with that? Thanks!

    We have a lot of videos on the subject, but you should not be using anything on top of your coating except a coating maintenance-specific product. You should not be using something like Blacklight or quick detailers. You do not need a "drying aide". Proper maintenance video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mYiOqJOneNKneco.html .
