In the heart of the Tibetan refugee community, a remarkable woman has dedicated over 26 years of her life to teaching, leading, and nurturing those around her. My gyenla-my teacher-has been a pillar of strength, serving as a teacher, headmistress, and administrator with unwavering commitment.
As a teacher, she inspired many children, creating classrooms filled with hope and encouragement. Her leadership as a headmistress fostered an environment where both students and teachers thrived, despite the challenges of limited resources and refugee life. As an administrator, she built bridges within the community, advocating tirelessly for the needs of students and for the future of Tibet.
Beyond her professional roles, she is a mother and a daughter, embodying the resilience and strength of many Tibetan women. Her story reflects the enduring spirit of the Tibetan people, the power of education, and the unyielding dedication of women who shine brightly in the face of adversity. She is not just my teacher but a beacon of hope and a pillar of our community.

Thank you making such beautiful videos… lots of memories came back as I got chance to see some of my old teachers… Mam Jampa my first English teacher, Mam Ngawang Chodon my maths teacher when I was class three to five. Of course Gyen Lobsang Dolma used to teach me science, you all are superb and thank you for everything and my favorite teacher Late Economics sir❤ I really miss him (2006to 2007 batch)
