Helena Soldevilla obviously it would be really difficult to not have an accent at all unless she grew up speaking Spanish, but I do find it really cool that she has a Spain specific accent. In my experience a lot of Americans just have a sort of general spanish accent or Mexican/ Latin American

There's a huge difference between understand and being able to say some sentences in a language and speak a language. I'm a native Spanish speaker and she shows that she understands perfectly what she's saying and she is saying it naturaly. I can speak English but I have to think what i'm going to say, she speaks Spanish fluently and naturaly.

I know what you mean bruh it wasn't til i was like 16 or 17 that i became confidently fluent in English..before that I'd sometimes freeze up in conversations and ask whoever it was to give me a min or even start fake coughing or something til i could think of the right thing to say..i agree with u she's like 9.5 in her fluency imo she speaks without pauses or her eyes rolling into her head and u can tell it comes naturally to her

ssjangel eeh not really, her accent is pretty obvious.. plus there were a couple words where she mistook the gender. Either way it’s still for the most part really good, and she can hold a conversation really well. Which is more impressive to me then her accent

No bro, the problem is that each of those celebrities have different accents, literally every country in Latin America has a different accent and a different type of language, the actress in this interview is using the Spanish accent from Spain, believe me, there is a difference between Spanish from Spain and Spanish from Latin America, and Latin America has different accents, from the Mexican, Peruvian, Argentine, Bolivian, Chilean, Colombian, Uruguayan, Paraguayan, and etc. accent. I mean, the Spanish language is very difficult to learn since if you are a foreigner it would be difficult to learn just 2 accents, that's how complicated the subject is :v (sorry i used the translator)

Well, in reality the "real" Spanish, or better said the first Spanish is the Castillian or castellano in spanish, and its more hard to pronunciate so, she is a queen

punxie89 it is pretty common for Spanish to be taught in most high schools here in the US and even some middle schools but usually it’s only a year or two and it is never really taught or used after that unless the student really wants to.

Obviamente vas a adoptar el ritmo del país de la cadencia del regionalismo de donde hablas en español. Pasa como con Viggo Mortensen, vivió en Argentina y viaja allá, y se apropia del ritmo y formas de Sudamérica. Kevin Mayorga Yes. We just got the culture and the name. But not the language. We kind of speak it though, our heritage is a mix of everything from western to eastern. :)

I had heard before that she speaks Spanish well - rumors were true! I'm impressed that she not only took the school opportunity to learn more, but has also made a point to keep up her practice and learning. I hope her kid/s are in fact at least bilingual! En realidad estuvo en Talavera de la Reina, Toledo. Y siempre nombra a la familia con la que estuvo viviendo en su intercambio. Es gratificante ver como el Español bien pronunciado en boca de tan grande actriz es un idioma inigualable.

@@jerovalladolid3003: en efecto. Hace tiempo que ya es casi "bola", porque es hija adoptiva de Talavera desde hace unos cuantos años. Yo se lo noto hasta en el acento y en algunas palabras, que no son tan ortodoxamnete castellanas como deberían (como vallisoletano te habrás dado cuenta). Estamos muy cerca de Madrid, y sobre todo de Cáceres y Ávila para que se nos hayan pegado bastante parte de su acento y sus frases hechas.

But it's curious cause she speaks with an accent that's almost not noticeable, meanwhile the head of an English academy I went to during my high school years (I'm Spanish) had been living here for, I don't know, maybe 20-30 years? She was from London and she had such a huge, huge, huuuge English accent on her Spanish. It's amazing how different it can sound from one people to another

@@danielfraiz74 I've noticed that too with people. I focused on improving my accent a lot when I lived in Mexico, but it never went away. Some people got it gone within a few months however

@@bronsolo6941 and it's easier to have a Latin American accent than Spanish cause they have a smoother and easier way of saying things and Spanish sounds stronger. A lot of English speaking people can't pronounce c and z properly, or the strong r

Se nota que habla un castellano de España, por la pronunciación y la vocalización. Me ha sorprendido bastante, ya que normalmente los americanos aprenden un español con acento caribeño o mexicano por la proximidad. Genial que en Hollywood se escuche cada vez más español.

Lo que sorprende es que ha superado dificultades que son muy dificiles (si no imposibles) para un anglo parlante. Se nota que no es una nativa, pero su nivel de español, sobre todo la pronunciacion, es altisimo para alguien que no es nativo.

Ashley Miranda Mi Papá es Inglés y Mi Mamá es Española y hemos vivido en USA, México, Dinamarca, Francia y Edimburgo, nunca en mi vida he escuchado a nadie decir “Eurospanish” la que tiene que viajar y educarse eres tú corazón, no entiendo porque los latinos ven a Europa y USA como si fueran algo superior, a mí me encantaría ser 100% latinoamericano porque no me identifico con estos pelotudos pretenciosos, ámate y valora tus orígenes.

I mean I don’t know her life but I’m guessing she hasn’t spoken much Spanish since high school/ her trip to Spain so the fact she still sounds almost native is amazing!
